Algor Nox 2009-02-17 . chapter 2That was really good. I really liked Eileen and Severus, and Tobias can suck ass. |
YuriyTalaIvanov 2009-01-07 . chapter 2aw! OMG! this is so sad! and so tragically nice! sniffs poor sev. well, you did a really really great job making this fic! it's awesome. sorry for all the exclaimation points...-.-' |
Mademoiselle Moon 2007-08-24 . chapter 2I'm amazed. You just gave Snape a believable childhood. That was superbly done. Your Eileen is a forceful and very intriguing woman and a worthy mother for such a complex character as Snape. After the pensieve scene she is often portrayed as weak and meek but I always thought that Snape's strength of character must have come from somewhere. In her I imagine seeing who Snape could have been if he was born in a different time. I like the clash of worlds his parents represent and your thoughts on the importance and validity of modern science are certainly interesting. Fabulous! |
 hippiechick11394 2007-08-23 . chapter 2whoah, that was certainly intense |
 Malfoy's Kitten 2007-06-25 . chapter 2That was beautiful. |
 Mother of Tears 2007-03-26 . chapter 2What a fantastic story! |
P'tfami 2007-03-09 . chapter 2I read this on snape's nightie's recommendation, and I have to say top marks on the effort.
Your description of the characters's emotions was well expressed, and the little mundane details like Batman mugs, Spiderman mugs (fictional loners with superhuman powers...I like the subtlety) made the story seem earthy.
I see you used the parrarel of Harry's childhood (running from bullies to the shed) to good use.
Kudos on breaking the myth that Severus Snape just emerged as an adult, embittered and cold, seemingly from nowhere in the HP universe. |
Nirrti 2006-11-20 . chapter 2oh shit - you made me glad it is not like that!
My son sees ghosts (as I do) and both my kids have mild telepathy - my god I am glad it is not like that - at least with my man - because my son would react exactly like that! I am shuddering! Thank christ (or some more likey fictional deity) I only apparate ear-rings! |
Nirrti 2006-11-20 . chapter 1NICE Who reference - how many, even fans (a re-evaluated term now), would know Ian-Dalek!
More chuffed with that than Halley! You win first editions of Adrics poetry books!

Calypphire 2006-06-19 . chapter 2*applauds and tips hat to you* Well done, well done, I loved it, brilliantly written and it gives one perspective on Severus's upbrining.
My heart was actually racing when Tobias found out, man that was scary.
Very well done and take care,

Meta Capricorn 2006-04-05 . chapter 2I am amazed at how well you described the problems between a witch and a nonmagical person that can appear when they marry and have children. I liked the way you brought in Severus Snapes characteristica and showed them in his parents. And the way you didn't blame one person but show the complexety of this.
Really great!
Yours,

Ascend With Ivy 2006-04-02 . chapter 2Wow, that was...amazing. Wonderfully written. I keep picturing an adult Sev meeting his father again... Anyway, I'm off to check out your other stuff. Ta ta! |
Kamp 2006-03-15 . chapter 2now that was an incredibly well-written story. i liked it very much. and i loved severus asking his water question. and it was rather sad and interesting take on that memory. i always wondered why that memory would have to be "snape's worst" after all that he has seen and done. but a family falling apart like that and how he blamed himself for the break... yes, i can definitely understand your point of view.
eileen and tobias... i liked them very much as characters. i found them very intriguing. and i liiked the sense of foreshadowing that was present throughout the entire story - from snape's way with potions to the first "marauders". |
