You've made a good start, and I look forward to seeing how the case plays out. I especially like "Blind Justice" stories that involve a case, because they're like a "bonus" episode of the show. You'll find that most readers of "Blind Justice" fic are big fans of the show and really appreciate stories that are true to the characters and the show. (By the way, you don't have to worry about your story being the only "Blind Justice" fic. At last count, there were 37 others here).

Um . . . not sure why it appeared that there was no other Blind Justice fic. Take a look. There's all of this on plus more fic on a couple of Blind Justice boards. That said, welcome! There are a few things that are a bit off, probably because it sounds as though you did not watch the show regularly. For example, Jim was off the job for a year, not three months. You are a good writer, and it is great to have someone else writing Blind Justice fic.
