| Winged Angel1992 2007-11-13 ch 6, | abuseI loved your story of it. Much better in my opinion then how it really happened in the movie. Keep it up. |

| Grok 2007-04-13 ch 6, | abuseI LOVED it. Absolutely loved it. I thought I was totally alone in thinking that Jess and Jules should get together. Thanks goodness I wasn't and got to read what would happen if they got together :) |
| KT Twister 2007-01-07 ch 6, | abuseNice slingshoting--or at least that's the term I use to describe when a writer echoes a previous line with a new one. You did it twice in this last chapter, to great effect. Once when Jess is chasing Jules: "Jules wasn’t going to stop running away, but Jess wasn’t prepared to stop running towards her either. She did the only thing she could. She tackled Jules... 'It was the only way I could think of getting you to stop running'" Then later, Jules kisses Jess and says: “It was the only way I could think of to get you to stop talking.” And you did it with the last line about English girls having such short hair... Also loved Jess' rambling. You should have doubled it and made it twice as funny. |
| KT Twister 2007-01-07 ch 5, | abuseThis whole chapter (five) with Tony was great. Played out like a movie in my mind. Some of the dialogue was a bit... I don't know... too proper, in need of a little more slang, maybe, but overall, you're fic is really helping to right the wrong the director made in de-gaying the original script and making it straight. The scene with Tony and Jess coming out to each other is exactly how it should have been. |
| KT Twister 2007-01-07 ch 4, | abuseThis made me laugh: "...She was Indian. She wasn’t supposed to be feeling like this. 'Jules, I have to go,' and with that, Jess was flying down the stairs past an over-eager mother and a doting father as a certain blonde girl sat on her bed looking at the space from where her best friend had just fled. It took the blonde a few moments to rise from her stupor, and then she was immediately down the stairs after Jess who was already out of sight. She had to find her. 'Perhaps her friend likes Jason too?' Her mother asked ever so quietly to her husband. Jules' mother is in such denial. |
| KT Twister 2007-01-07 ch 3, | abuseI learned about this fic through (not sure if you've heard of it). Anyway, I'm enjoying it, especially the way you've woven Jules and Jess' interactions into the actual scenes of the movie. It's also nice to come across a fanfic story that isn't full of misspelled words and typos. But there is a problem beginning with chapter/post three. Near the end, you go from telling the story in the past tense to speaking in the present tense. It starts where Jess arrives at Jules to talk to her about the "almost" kiss between Jess and Joe, and Mrs. Paxton answers the door. The change in tense kind of jolted me out of the story. I see that you last updated/completed the fic in early 2006, so you may not even be checking back for reviews. Either way, I read what you wrote in the author's note about many people reading stories but refusing to review. I hope to be posting my own fic very soon, and I'd like for people to review it no matter what they think. |
| rtms 2006-11-12 ch 6, | abuseGreat story! Really enjoy it and the feeling the girls have for each other and the mishaps of finding out what's what, lol. You may want to watch when your writing, you sometimes switch views in mid paragraph and it can throw people off. |
| DonnaUotani 2006-08-25 ch 6, | abusewow i loved it are you going to update soon best jules jess story i've read in a long time |
| Sami 2006-08-12 ch 1, anon. | abuseYes! This was exactly the ending I would have wanted to see in the movie. Great fic. |
| josie 2006-08-03 ch 6, anon. | abuseHey, Thanks for writing that story, it was great to read something so different from the normal girl-boy romances. I really liked Bend it Like Beckham, and would never have even considered the spin-off possibility between Jess and Jules, but thought it was great! Lol, I'd love to see both their mothers' reactions for real hey? |
| Restless Goddess 2006-07-09 ch 6, | abuseOoh, I like this story! Are you going to update it soon? It's the only good Jess/Jules story I've read - keep it up! It's wonderful! |
| Alphawolf69 2006-05-18 ch 6, | abuseLast line was great. A good end to the series. |
| FooBarBaz 2006-04-26 ch 6, | abuseFantastic! The only non-Britishism that leapt out at me was the American football tackle (which perhaps ought to have been a Rugby tackle). Thanks. |
