That was really bittersweet. The progression of the memories was nice. I loved how you showcased them from reluctant teammates to friends and then to something more. It was also nice that Syd didn't immediately decide Sky was the greatest thing since sliced bread. I think my favorite part of the flashbacks was when Sky thought about how he hated seeing girls cry. And then later on, the "so?" to Syd revealing she has powers.

I really got the feeling during this that Syd almost expected history to repeat itself, like she didn't like it but was resigned to it. I also get the feeling that Sky's actual death took place a few weeks ago and she's decompressing.

This was really sweet and nicely introspective on Syd's part. She goes from battling her feelings to finding a kind of peace. Great work! I enjoyed it muchly!

The first date was so cute, and I loved getting a look into their past together, with Sky explaining to her they all had powers, etc. It was great.

And, being the angst lover I am, I loved the ending. Even though it almost made me cry :( Like father like son . . .

The part where you talked about Syd's secret really put her character in a whole new light: the possibility of vulnerableness within the perfect pink princess.
