Insouciant Vulcan 3/12/05 . chapter 13United Federation of Planets Tribble Show and Breeders’ Association? There's an idea for a story in itself. |
Insouciant Vulcan 3/12/05 . chapter 1Good job. "The Trouble With Tribbles" is the episode that got me hooked on Star Trek in the first place. |
Hungarian Horntail 3/23/03 . chapter 16 This is the most extensive and well written book I've read on an imaginary animal since the book on centaurs by V. Csanyi and B. Makovecz (a real book, but only available in Hungarian).
The chapters about genetics and anatomy are very believable. The only information I find missing is whether tribbles perspirate, and if they don't, how they keep their bodies from overheating.
It's a real pity you didn't send this to Pocket Books at the time. |
 Nenya Kanadka 3/2/03 . chapter 2Aiee! "Wild tribbles roam[ing] freely"! Scary! :D |
Nenya Kanadka 3/2/03 . chapter 1Aha! Just watched "The Trouble with Tribbles" from TOS tonight-a non-breeding tribble, now *that's* the ticket! I was also impressed with how the writers fit the, for lack of a better word, 'fluff' tribble plotline in with the more serious one about the Klingons, and how it all worked together. Interesting to note how the concept of Klingon appearance has evolved from the ones in this ep to, say, Worf on DS9. . . .
But I'll stop rambling now and just say this is an excellent handling manual! Very much a kind of fic after my own heart-supporting data fics like this! :D |
 Star Trekkie 2/19/03 . chapter 1 Good handbook. I want a pet tribble. |
Yuna 6/7/01 . chapter 3 A labour of love, truely impressive. But tribble recipes? No! |
Emily M. Hanson 5/27/01 . chapter 1"It likes most humanoids, but despises Klingons,
since it is highly allergic to the pheremones a Klingon gives off
when active or angry."
Interesting theory! I wonder, if Klingons used perfume, could tribbles learn to like them? Or rather, could Klingons learn to like tribbles? |
