erm, i think the wings are a bit too much as well that unexplained burst of knowledge that everyone seems to get about inheritance...Petunia is also greatly exaggerating as it is kinda her own fault that harry had to stay in the house; had she moved to live away from the 'monster' harry would have had to follow because of the blood protection stuff...
Anyway, you choose the easy way out by using abuse as the foundation for the story, but I do hope the next chapters will grow into something original.
