But anyway, the story-or rather, it's more of a prose poem, or a soliloquy. At first, I thought it had to be Tegan or Peri, because who else is that whiney? But it didn't get too whiney after all, and certainly does apply to a lot of the companions-maybe this is Ace talking. . . .
