Reading this makes me feel nostalgic for watching reruns of DS as a teenager - makes me miss the early days of FK, too. Wonderful story and I hope to see it continued one day.

An excellent portrayal of Schanke. I am not a fan of Dark Shadows however this story has made me consider rebeginning the series. A few years back I was only able to get about 10 eps viewed before I returned it to the library as dreck.

I'm liking this story and would very much like to see a continuation once you graduate.

So...no Barnabas vampire rivalries, huh? Oh well. lol

And my first thought when Nick went to notify Eric of his wife's death-where the man did not act surprised? "Well, no sh.., Sherlock. You came to his door when he's worried about his missing wife and declare your from Metro HOMOCIDE. Geez, there's a clue. Or should I say, 'klew'?

Second chapter is just as interesting as the first. ) I enjoy your writing style, and feel you easily capture Nick's character in your words. The occasional hints toward his nature make it more than just a homicide story, and worth reading even when there's not a lot of action. But then, I'm a die-hard fan. _

Off to a good start.
