Beautiful story, Kankuro is my favorite Naruto Character, so I love a story that portrays him as a deep character with realistic thoughts, feelings and emotions rather than a shallow, sex-obsessed bully, (What is with all of those Pervy Kanky stories, anyway?) I especially like the way you described him, he's not "Thin and Lanky" like Sasuke, but he's not chubby like Chouji either, he's solidly built. Sadly, for some reason a lot of fangirls seem to prefer effeminate waifs (Like Sasuke or Itachi) and view Kankuro as "fat" because he's NOT an effeminate waif. (No I won't apologize to Uchiha fans! I won't!)

I also liked Sakura, her inner conflict over how she views Kankuro, changing her perceptions of him as she actually gets to know him, it seems very realistic.

I had to laugh in part 3, "Kankuro" and "Full-Body Tan" are two terms I've never imagined together, the thought of Kankuro sunbathing in the nude is just too funny.

you're back!! yay! i hope this time for good, and that real life has calmed down for you in a way that you can begin to write again. i must say your story, strings of a puppet, was the first story i ever reviewed here. i almost didn't click on this story, cause i glanced at the publish/update dates (not really paying attention to the author name like i should) i didn't want to get too into another story that might not be updated for a while. however i'm such a sakuraxkankuro junkie i couldn't resist, that's when i saw the author name and i squealed! i knew that i was going to get a great story, and i was not disappointed. the line about kankuro exuding arrogance, is part of what makes me love him. he is a fierece demon, but under that make up he's gorgeous. i hope you can update soon.

Don't worry about taking so long. Life is always more important - apparently - than writing fanfiction. As long as you can get something down whenever the muse strikes ^-^.

i like it but i think that maybey there would need to be a bit more interaction between the two. But other than that the writing was very good.
