I really liked how you put the angst in there, but didn't over do it with comas and pregnancies and gunshots, etc...it seemed like it really could have happened on the show. And you did a great job keeping them all in-character--especially Hyde. Loved it!

Haha It's such a 'brotherly' thing to do. "Hyde snorted. “Whatever, Forman. Anyway, it’s good to see you.” He shook his head. “Even if you are an ass for what you did to Donna. By the way….” He punched Forman hard on the arm, and grinned when Eric yelped and winced. “Take it like a man. You deserve it.”" Ugh! Ugh! Pot,.. kettle.., black! Oh my freakin' Gawd, I can't believe Hyde said that, what a dumbass!If that's the case, he deserves to have his shins kicked from here to oblivion, with the sharpest, pointiest boots Jackie can find. "Eric frowned and rubbed his arm. “So I heard that Kelso proposed to the devil.” Hyde closed his eyes briefly, just a moment too long." Ouch! That is such an Ericy thing. He always wades in with the most inapprpriate, ill timed things to say. "Hyde opened his eyes and rolled them. “No. So he proposed. I didn’t give a crap.” He shrugged and looked away. “She said no, anyway.” Damn, I really hated that part in the show.I watched the proposal clip on youtube.(I watched like, three S8 episodes in total:X) I know they needed a big drama for Kelso leaving, but during the whole fiasco, there was no reaction from Hyde whatsoever, none. He didn't even blink when Kelso got down on one knee, his face was still blank when Jackie said no. No sign he even knew what was happening right in front of him. Standing there with his stupid whore 'wife'! "Eric’s expression and voice were puzzled. “Wait, what are you more upset about, the fact that your stripper wife left you, or that Kelso proposed to Jackie?”" Hah! Eric always had the ability to read Hyde well, he knew what pissed Hyde off, before he himself knew. "“Well, how was I supposed to know that alcohol is so easy to set on fire? No one ever told me! And how was I supposed to know that bottle had vodka in it? It was clear, like water! Anyone would make that mistake! I was trying to put OUT the curtains!” Ah, Kelso! I wold really love to know how many times he WAS actually dropped on his head! Hahaha Why, oh why didn't you learn your lesson after the Brandy fiasco at Jackie's house? Silly, lanky, sweet doofus! "And she’d realized that he wasn’t right for her. Nor was she right for him. Sure, she loved him, and she’d told him that, but not in the right way. Their time had come and gone, a long time ago. She wasn’t in love with him and actually hadn’t been, really, ever." Oh, that is SO true. He was her 'puppy love.' He was good looking, kinda adorable and she could make him do exactly what she wanted, when she wanted. He was the one area of her life she had almost, complete control. "“And if you ever have…you know, physical needs…I’m here.” He winked at her." Haha. Dammit, where's Hyde when you need him to frog Kelso? :P "She remembered sitting on the couch, and how Steven had looked none too pleased at the way Michael was talking to and touching her. That was the first time she’d allowed herself to hope that their “fling” was more than just that." Oh man! I LOVED that moment. Hyde just couldn't stop himself from hitting Kelso. He was SO pissed, Jackie was HIS woman now. He couldn't get out of the basement, and into his El Camino quick enough. Knowing she'd follow him within minutes! Jealous, possessive Hyde! Where the hell did he go? sighs "He nodded. “Thought so. Hey, you know Hyde’s single now since his hot stripper wife left him.” She gave him a dirty look and he shrugged innocently. “What? Oh, come ON, Jackie, you gotta admit she was hot! She was a STRIPPER!”" UGH! Kelso! He obviously was NOT dropped on his head enough. He never did know when to shut the hell up. "Hyde’s smile faded. He’d missed Kelso, but for some reason, seeing the easy way Kelso talked with Jackie, the easy way she talked to him, really irritated him. Some things never changed, as much as he wanted them to. That tinge of jealousy was still there, and he still hated it." That insecurity is always there. Though I guess it's hard forget how Jackie and Keslso fawned over each other for years. His quip from S4, about how their "doing it," wasn't so private, meant he'd also either, heard, or seen them. So yeah, I guess it's a well deserved insecurity. But, why can't he see Jackie and Kelso are SO at ease with each other because there are NO feelings left between them. "Hyde stood up and crossed his arms over his chest. His eyes leveled on her downcast face. “Guess you know a little about that, huh?” His stomach tightened. This topic wasn’t the most pleasant for him. Jackie had played that game quite skillfully." Oh, he SO deserved her playing them both like that. He slept with someone else. I personally LOVED that, for once, he WAS staking his claim to her in front of everyone, and was more than willing to tear Kelso apart to make her his again. "She glanced down at herself. Her Jordache jeans and a lavender, long sleeved, button down shirt. “I’m wearing it because I look so good in it.” HAHAHA! That is such a perfect Jackie answer, and so true. "“I mean, it was so convenient that you were wearing that same outfit and watching the Price Is Right this morning. Wasn’t it great that I was here to see that?”" Ugh! Get over yourself. You're not some grand prize, not after all the cooties you got off that stripper whore! "“He remembers,” she whispered, closing her eyes." Aww, poor Jackie! He IS her grand prize. Even after everything. ;-(

I got six more weeks till the cast comes off, so I'll be clogging up your inbox, pay me no mind! ;-) "Red and Kitty didn’t mind. Oh sure, Red grumbled but he didn’t stop them. Jackie thought he secretly liked them being there all the time." Yeah, Red and Kitty loved all the kids, they were one big dysfunctional family. But, I think he favoured Jackie, after she helped him fix the car; and Hyde was the son he could actually relate to. "Her heart skipped a beat, and she instinctively glanced to her right, but then snapped her head back. No reason to look over there. That summer was a million years ago, and she was over it. Over him. Completely over him." Aww, she misses him. She's trying SO hard to convince herself she's over him. :-( "It was hypnotic. Steven had told her once that the wheel must emit subliminal messages that made people do insane things they know they shouldn’t do." This made me laugh, so perfectly Hyde to find some conspiracy, mumbo jumbo, reason to blame his actions on. "“God, why do I have to see you” look he was giving her. She didn’t know why it bothered her. She’d seen it millions of times before." Aww, that's SO sad. He never used to be able to take his eyes off her, or his hands. "“Nothing,” she said, unable to look away from him. He looked good today, so good, wearing that t-shirt and those jeans that always made him look so…" Even after everything, she still wants him. Can't help but feel that same old attraction. "She tensed. Sam. His wife. His whorey, stripper wife. The woman he’d married. He could never even say that he wanted to marry her, let alone do it, but he’d married a woman he didn’t even know. The thought of Sam made her stomach turn." UGH! The thought of Sam makes MY stomach turn. The thought of Hyde doing with Sam, what he should have been doing with Jackie, eugh! Makes my skin crawl. "But what was worse was the catch in his voice on her name. Obviously her leaving bugged Steven. He must have grown to really care about her. Jackie’s eyes burned and she tightened her arms around herself while blinking hard. “Oh. I see.” Hmm, did his voice catch because he was thinking of Sam, or because he feels guilty even mentioning THAT name in front of Jackie? Gawd, what did he even get from that 'relationship' except sexual release. He let his friends ogle her, it never bothered him. But yet, he couldn't bare the thought of Kelso even talking about Jackie, when they were together. "Why did he have to sit on the couch? Why couldn’t he have sat on his chair?" Aha! Why is he sitting on the couch. Maybe he wants, needs, to be close to her, even for a little while. "“Leaving so soon? I’m disappointed.”" Huh, he actually is disappointed. But, is it because he's missing the chance to burn her, and twist the knife in her heart that little bit deeper. Or does he just miss spending time with HER? "No woman had ever smelled as good as Jackie. Of course, he’d bet no woman had ever spent hours upon hours testing just which perfume worked the best with her body chemistry. Jackie had. Things like that were important to her." OMG! That is SO perfectly a Jackie thing to do! She paid so much attention to the smallest detail. I think part of the appeal of J/H was the fact they were such polar opposites, she spent hours grooming and planning her outfit, he'd wear last weeks jeans and the first t-shirt that came to hand.Plus, she was so tiny, delicate and feminine, and he was so macho,strong and masculine. Which made them SO freakin' HOT! "Things like that were supposed to make her sicken him. But even now, after everything, they didn’t." He's such a bad liar, things like that, turned him on more than anything else in his entire life! "And too bad Jackie was still around. Why didn’t she just go to Chicago? Or California? Or anywhere but Point Place?" UGH! For the same reason he came home from Vegas, because home is where the heart is. Now I just wanna smack him upside his stupid head! pft "If not for that wheel and its subliminal messages, he never would have kissed Jackie that day, never would have started messing around with her." Oh he is such a liar, liar, pants on fire! He always wanted Jackie, he was just biding his time 'till Kelso really fucked up with her. Two people can't annoy each other THAT much, without there being something MUCH more beneath the tension. "She giggled and clapped her hands together. “Oh, you’re just going to LOVE it!”" Oh man, I love Kitty, she's SO giddy and it's infectious. :D I love this first chapter, but I'm gonna pace myself! ;-)

You know, you may not be a famous author, but your not far from it. :) I usually don't like to read really long stories, but this one was an exception! Hyde's character was portrayed to a tee. This story caught my attention when I read that you hadn't watched the 8th season, but had read spoilers and such. I did the same thing. I don't know, just something about Hyde and Jackie not being together .. Randy ..Sam .. No Eric and Fez and Jackie together. I think the 8th season could have been better, liek your story! Well great job, and I am adding you to my Favorite Authors list! ... Write a new one soon:)
