LateOrliBloomer 2006-05-11 . chapter 1I find it a bit outrageous that Sota could just leave Skitts, without saying anything about where he was going or ANYTHING, for like, what, 10 years?
Skitts was 41 when they met again...he had to have been thirty-something when Sota disappeared.
Fave part:
"Can I ask you one thing?"
"Of course."
He hesitates, then sighs. "Do you still regret not running away?"
I don't even have to think about it. "Yes."
-That put me in tears. Truly.
And again when they met again. I could not believe Sota didn't recognize him! Even in his sexy white collar & priest outfit!
I like how Les follows in his brother's footsteps...ahem, coughJavidcough. |
ella eternity 2006-02-21 . chapter 1This story was absolultey gorgeous. You told it in such a clear, simple voice, and that made it all the more affective.
You created such imagery, I could practically see it playing out like a movie. Great job. |
Rustie73 2006-01-07 . chapter 1I am a Catholic, and in no way do I find this story offensive.
Hank wasn’t the last Christian at the lion’s den barbecue. He was not a martyr. He was a man. His choice to be with Sota was the right choice.
It is a moving story, and is beautifully written.
Thank you for not killing Sota. Between watching movies and reading stories, I have done way too much crying this week. I love a happy ending! |
Jacky Higgins 2006-01-06 . chapter 1Selmer? As in the instrument company? Heh. My first thought. But it's all about the band today. I think i will take you up on your offer of someone to talk to, I could kind of use it.
On a more relevant note, the story was great! The ending was satisfying, though the middle was kind of sad. I loved it!

antiIRONY 2006-01-06 . chapter 1Very very well done. I loved it. I haven't seen Brokeback Mountain yet, so I don't know if it was similar or not. But, really this was wonderfully written, you should feel very proud. |
FlatOutCrazy 2006-01-05 . chapter 1YAY! Oh, good gravy, I loved it. I loved it SO much. I wanted to beat you when you killed him, though. But don't worry, you made up for it by bringing him back and making them happy at the end. I really freaking loved it. |
Glum n Dumb Skittery 2006-01-05 . chapter 1Gah. So of course you post it when it's that time of the month for me and I'm just a bundle of emotions ready to CRY. :P
Before I forget, I love this line: "You got old on me, jerk." And the one about the hounds of hell at his heel. They were awesomely done.
I couldn't shake the Brokeback feel to it (THE SHIRT. THE DEATH.), except I love your ending a lot more because it's happy. And you did end up pulling off the "Sota" name. XD (Schwah, Buckingham for the win.)
Now I suppose I shall make this a simultaneous comeback for us... |
Oxymoronic Alliteration 2006-01-05 . chapter 1I dislike you for getting me worked up thinking Snitch was dead, but I love you for not actually killing him off. From a practicing Catholic, you should be proud of this story. It's beautifully written and hits the nail on the head: God is love. If anyone says God doesn't want someone to love another person, they don't know what they are talking about. |
Sita-chan 2006-01-05 . chapter 1It was even better this time.
I know I told you this during the beta, but this is such a well-written, moving piece. You really did explore a lot of issues that needed to be addressed, but you did it respectfully and honestly.
And I really am glad I could help.
Much love and adoration. XD |
Aarin 2006-01-05 . chapter 1 This was fantastic. You should be proud. Thank you for writing this. |
twilight-maiden 2006-01-05 . chapter 1Well done as always. And I think you did good with being respectful and tactful on the subject.
Loved it =) |
