A gentleness intermixed with anger ang confusion, he really seems so much younger than the others. I loved the scene in the church, public and private at the same time. It works beautifully here, and the story made me smile even with the death.

Erin 2006-02-16 ch 1, anon.	abuseWonderfully written, though there are a few minor detail flaws my OCD will not allow me to let alone, but I assure you they are minor. First off, while you said Christine was a Christian, the mass ceremony was run very much like a Catholic Mass (sadly enough, there is indeed a difference. Having gone to Catholic school, you'll have to trust me on this). Secondly, Christine was Scandinavian I believe, not Swedish. But other than that, really beautiful. I adore the ending, especially.

I envy your writing talent so much - you really draw a reader into the world you've created and don't let them leave for a second. What a gorgeous story idea, I never would have thought of it given a hundred lifetimes. So Lerouxesque and in character - you really outdid yourself. I am sure TheAngelCried will be very pleased with this. adds to favorites (PS Sorry that I am such a slacker, having read this I want to tear apart the crap I've managed to write and start afresh, although it'll never rival this no matter how I rework it.)
