wow .. i really cry,

You are a terrible person and I'm going to bawl in this corner here. But more seriously, that was a very well-written piece. Heartbreaking, but all the more beautiful for it. You'll excuse me if I concoct ridiculous and impossible happy endings for it in my head, though.

I cannot believe out of all the times I've read this(must be at least a half a dozen),I have never reviewed! For that,I truly apologize.This story is amazing!It is so well written and brings out so many emotions in the reader.Every time I read this one I love it more and more.I did have a question though,something that just came to me.When Shinichi was walking to Ran's house,he was dressed in white and was carrying white roses.White is the color for funerals in Japan(at least that's what I've heard)That was the part where he died,was that intentional?Just asking,great job on the fic!

I've just reread this and yet it's still as beautiful as before. It's wonderful! (And I can't believe I cried at the same part I did before, that is, when she visits his grave...)

(Sigh) It was beautiful. The story was absolutely beautiful and it tugged my heart so much. I guess in the end you could say I was pot full of different emotions bubbling in me. Hope you make more stories like this (although not necessarily sad and angst). :D

It's been more than a year since I first read this, and I'm only giving it a review (and adding it to my faves) now. I couldn't resist rereading it, and it still was as touching as ever. *huggles the fic*

That's so ... tragic and bittersweet. It was hard to read because it was just so terribly, powerfully sad, but I'm glad I read it anyway. An angst warning would have been nice though ... *sniff*.

OMG it was so sad that I cried. I cannot believe he was alive!! The story was sad but the ending was cute. I really liked the story!

This story is truly commendable. I shed a few tears in the part when Ran was screaming at Shinichi's grave, calling him an idiot. Those kinds of things exist in almost every soap opera or something (you know...when someone dies and they express there love through a sort of hatred for leaving this world so early), and yet I think I almost always like them.

I would say that in my observations, you have portrayed Ran as someone who loves Shinichi but marries someone else to hide her misery. Maybe there was something inside of her that made her give up waiting. It was only my interpretation, though. What was swimming in your head when you wrote this?

I also love the sweet dreams you put in the middle. It adds a really beautiful effect. Ran dancing with Shinichi through fields of flowers...she is an orchid, after all (her full name, if I am not mistaken means forest orchid). The fact that one could smell the fragrance of roses or something after she wakes up adds a sort of mysterious twist.

For me, "Wake up, Ran" might mean that Ran was shielding herself away, hiding in a fluffy deception, a wonderland. And yet she must face reality. Yes or no? The "wake up" thing at the end was depressing.

The story was really long, and I had a good time reading it. Probably the only reason why I didn't cry too much was because I kept pausing when I read it (you see, I was trying to hide from my mom who is making me do work), so the effect must have diminished through the stopping. My sister recommended this to me as the fic that "made people cry," and I'm really glad I read it! You're an awesome writer!
