Wow: this poem is fantastic. You were able to keep it short, and in doing so, allowed the soul of the piece to shine through the entire time. This poem has a wonderful message and rings very true; those who return should be commended as well.
I also loved how, even if a gentle one, this was still a jab and Elves, who so many see as flawless. While Elves are not the only ones who glorify only "the steadfast/of wise, of fantastic battle deeds" it certainly is a truth about them that no one seems to point out.
