What you said about Lt. Surge is true but please understand that he was pretty much a rookie then. He probably thought that he was on a role since he beat Brock and Misty. Pikachu was his strongest then as it is now.

As for your military lecture it makes plenty sense. Your argument is quite fair here but so are the reviewers. Here is my argument-That is just he pokemon world. We and the pokemon have to except it. NOT only that but in season two Misty says that Lapras did the work and petted her. I guess you could say that Misty is the only one who does that. Then again maybe not! Ash learns this is season two too. Also,did you not remember what Jimmy said in the chronicles about pokemon battles?

You may have a point about Pidgeot, though she is more likely to be sad than angry.

Ash loves all his pokemon. He has a closer bond with Pikachu because it was his first pokemon and..well the whole first episode that started it all is a comeplete defense.

Pokemon could very well leave if they hated their trainers. They do not have to stay.

I see where you are coming from but Ash really would die for most of his Pokemon. Yes he is a reckless idiot but still. He thought letting Pidgeot stay there was what it wanted. As you can remember. Ash would have let Pikachu do the same if it had wanted to. So this is one take on Ash but on the whole I do think he treats his Pokemon well. If it was not an animae series and Pokemon bled and got killed in battle, then it might be different but as is Ash really does try his best to listen and care about his Pokemon.

this story SUCKS!. Where do i begin. One Ash did NOT abanden pidgeot.No Pid CHOSSE to stay and protct her kind. Two Ash LOVES he pokemon. He lets them choose they battels and if they want to fight. And IF they want to go he lets them leave. Third Pikachu whould NEVER leave Ash. I mean Ash almost died for him on more them one time. With all the stuff they've been trough Pika would have left a long tim e a go. Foruth Ash is an awsome Trainer I mean look at Paul then Ash. see what i mean. Fitith Pokemon LIKE to battle. It;s like a pride and strength thing. Yes they do get a long but they do battle ON THERE OWN. As befor THIS STORY SUCKS! you really need to watch more pokemon and watch the movie it is so clear. If I was a really mean person, I could point out a thousand things I didn't like about this story. But I'd much rather go read one of your stories that isn't disappointing, because there are a lot of them.

You switched between calling Mew "she" and "it."

Pigeot's bold "he"s and "him"s are an eyesore.

I also like how Mew and Mewtwo were so easy to find.

Well, just wanted to say something...this story was BAD. And to think you reviewed other writers who liked Ash in a bad manner. Remember the story "Kiss the Cook, Please!"? Gave you a bad image. And sorry to add this crap to my fave. list, just a mistake.

if you've ever had a pokemon who didn;t listen to you in the games, you might understand. Pokemon will obey you out of a sign of respect. They care about you, and that's why they battle. And Pokemon like battling. They aren't freaking pacifists, they have claws and teeth and can shoot flamethrowers for a reason.

And Ash never abandoned Pidgeot, it willingly left. As for this plot point not being mentioned ever again; blame the writers, not Ash. He may be a bit thick in the head but he's not THAT bloody stupid. Just another plot point they forgot about.

I read some of your other works...so I can't say I'm shocked that you had Pikachu leave. See you soon.

I doubt it occurred to any of the Japanese storyboard designers at the time. I'm thinking Pidgeot slid down the Plothole of Oblivion and ended up in Amnesia Lane or something.

But I thought it was partly Pidgeot's own wanting to be there too... IMHO Pidgeot was being pretty petty when he said that, considering he wasn't exactly *back* yet.

If I'm not wrong, Pokémon was originally based on fighting crickets. Blame the creators for giving them sentience. But it's very sad that Pikachu chose that way, to me anyway. Somehow it always seemed to me that he (I'm calling it a he, so there.) always seemed to enjoy every battle, every challenge, and that he was as much a part of it as Ash was. And Ash does acknowledge Pikachu's efforts at many points during the show, though I guess it might be more perfunctory than Pikachu would like...

But I still feel Pidgeot was plain mean. I can understand it though; your dislike of Ash due to his idiocy I can... well actually I can't relate to; but it's up to you, of course. Somehow I always thought that Ash was nice to all his Pokémon... if they were to battle for him at least he didn't force them past their limits too often... though you do see a lot of K.Oed-and-back-to-life coming on when he battles... but the storyboard designers always put it down to the bond between him and his Pokémon so...

Oh and did you notice if you try and write Pokemon with an accent above the e it becomes Pokémon?
