cbtreks 2007-04-29 . chapter 1Mary Sue Sands! *g* And an airstrike on all women named Mary Sue! Very funny from beginning to end. |
Valentina 2006-01-25 . chapter 1 Well, I've never seen the film or read the book, but I found this story very funny anyway! "I am your wife, Mary Sue Sands" lol Priceless! and then calling all women named Mary Sue? Poor Sands, he's sure going to have a long stretch at that lol
And then I understand that the timeline follows that of the film, right? At least I've got the last allusion! Turning this kind of film into a funny, no-quite-so-nice, children story was really a good idea. Thnak you, Miss Beckey :-)

fairlyironic 2006-01-23 . chapter 1Poor Sands, I love how his reaction to everything is to shoot it :) |
Trillian4210 2006-01-20 . chapter 1rotflmao...First the alarm didn’t go off, so he overslept. Then the coffeepot decided to go balls-up. That ** him off, so he shot it.
Now there's a mood-setting opening line if I ever read one. This was hilarious. You have absolutely nailed that character. Wonderful. |
Bainpeth 2006-01-18 . chapter 1This was a hoot! Yeah, tomorrow would be better. Well, we all know how that went!
Thanks for the chuckle. I needed it. |
 Kerttu 2006-01-18 . chapter 1*ROFL*
*wipes tears away and gulps for air*
This is SO good! I absolutely LOVE this. Poor baby! Don't we all have exactly such days (sans -usually, depending the job description- the 'secret spy stuff). *hiccups and snickers* Of course, the old Murphy's law comes to play here with Sands - "If something can go wrong, it does and then it becomes a cycle." But this was very-very good! |
Merrie 2006-01-17 . chapter 1Oh man that was awesome, Miss B!! :D :D :D :D You were crusing along fine with the funnies. "just to be safe, he called in a strategic air strike on all women named Mary Sue." had me laughing probably longer than can be still considered normal. And then more funny, and then oo movie ties, and then the last, "Sands sighed. Tomorrow would be a better day. He just knew it." Perfection. It's like, funny, funny, movie goodness, funny, ANGST! :D I love it!! :D Brava as ever, Miss B!! I hope these wonderful little ficlets fight their way out of your head more often! ;D

kaput 2006-01-17 . chapter 1"Then the coffeepot decided to go balls-up. That ** him off, so he shot it."
I nearly spit out my drink at that one. It is so, so very Sands. Come to that, I liked that he was shooting/almost shooting things all the way through this piece. Maybe that makes me sadistic or something. I dunno. In any case, it amused me. As did Sands's Mary-Sue wife. Bwahaha.
Overall, you brightened my day, which had heretofore been rather terrible, horrible, no good and very bad. So thank you. Keep writing! |
just jacs 2006-01-17 . chapter 1that was amazing. i couldn't stop laughing! Amazing work! |
Lynx Ryder 2006-01-17 . chapter 1:D Good stuff!
Never read the children's book but it sounds like it'd be good fun ;).
"Tomorrow would be a better day. He just knew it."
I guess it doesn't always pay to be an optimist :P |
