So you have actually placed CM before X8. I like your characterization of Alia, although I’d expect some Gate angst/guilt along with the rest. I guess it’s been many years though.
And you made a jester with a familiar that looks like an ancient cyber-elf. That’s ten points plus;-P
I enjoyed reading this first chapter and I’ll be here for the rest since you seem to have quite a story figured out.
