Ladymagdalena 2009-04-05 . chapter 1MMJ - great view from Jason's perspective. My muse is still working on 'Checkmate' for the Voltron Fandom, but I was watching my Aussie DVD's (complete collection) of BotP and after seeing "The Fierce Flowers Part 1 & Part 2" I dare say my muse was bit by a potential scene or two for BotP. That will have to wait until Checkmate is done.

Captain Zaphod 2008-12-05 . chapter 1More! More!! More!
I too loved this show as a kid. I even used to own one of Mark's boomerangs.
I particularly liked the use of:
"Clutch. Shift. Accelerate."
To break up, yet maintain the storyline focus. |
 bbblfl 2006-03-06 . chapter 1wow.
This was great.
I loved the first half, when Jason was describing what driving meant to him- you really pulled me in. And then when you linked how he saw the others with the clutch, shift, accelerate...
Really well done.
PS- I'm a thirty-something mom too. It's nice to know that there are a few other 'adult' writers around! :D |
Madilayn 2006-02-03 . chapter 1I really enjoyed this. You've gotten into Jason's mind nicely.
Yes, he is impulsive and a hothead, but people also tend to forget that we're told time and time again that he's an excellent driver and marksman.
And you can't be impulsive and hotheaded about either of those things.
Whilst all the team puts up a "front", I think that Jason does so more than any of the others - simply because he's frightened to let anybody see him as vulnerable. I always get the impression that he loves his teammates dearly - and would sacrifice anything and everything for them.
Yes - Jason is a very deep thinker, and this situation is where I can see him thinking.
So nicely done! |
Summer39 2006-01-26 . chapter 1Very, very good. I enjoyed Jason's POV. Here you seem to exhibit him as more the "thinking man" than the proverbial hothead the show depicts him as, which is not how I think he is. He's tempermental for a reason, he's protective of those he cares for. Having him express himself on the open road while driving made reading this all worth while. You get a sense of who Jason is. Great job. |
