When I first looked at this story in the Just In section, I assumed that this would be just another self-insertion fic. But now that I have finally read it (sorry for the delay), I realize how good this is. Your writing is wonderfully descriptive, and the ideas behind it (such as that nations fall from the inside, rather than the outside) are very complex and perfectly fit with that with Myst.
