Aww that's so sweet! Yay for the brother love, I love how you did Percy in this. Very nicely done, I like how he didn't try to defend himself against what he did to Harry. Perfect.

So sweet and mysterious...I hope they can clear his name so he can return home with Hermione, Harry and his family :)

Bye!

Wow! This is a really, really neat idea. I'm glad that you had Percy find him and not any of the others!

hmm i thought that was a slash ron and perce but it was not:(

it was good though

"He my customer, my food no poison him like yours, I give good price!"

The toothless man seemed offended.

"I no poison anyone!" the man scowled.

"You poison him with shrimp," Pol screeched as she pulled Ron away from the other mobile food stand while I struggled not to laugh at the exasperated expression on his face, "you tell Ron, tell that shrimp made you sick."

Ron didn't seem too happy to have been put in the middle of this trade war and swallowed.

"Well I don't know that it was the shrimp..." he began before the toothless man approached him with the food from his heated tray.

"He say it no my food! I give to you, forty baht."

"Forty?" Ron said, raising an eyebrow.

"He already buys from me, chicken and two rice, twenty baht."

"Twenty?" Ron said, counting out the money while the offer still stood and placing it into Pol's hand.

"Ah, he buy from me, he my customer. You go now," Pol shooed her rival away.

Ron laughed at this as he took the bag from Pol. She grabbed his arm again and stares at him with fierce intensity.

"You give dog rice; you no feed dog my chicken."

Ron rolls his eyes.

"I promise Pol, I'll starve the bloody dog if you want."

"Chicken for you, no waste good food on dog."

"I swear," Ron held up his hands and attempts to look honest, always an impossible task ever since we were kids, "can I go home now?"

lmfao that is so freaking funny

I'm under orders not to give you meat; you're getting the rice and nothing else."

*snorts* funny

He nods and absent-mindedly tosses a chunk of chicken to the scrawny dog at his feet.

"Hey I thought you promised not to feed the dog?"

LOL

"Don't start on me Ron, I got fleas y'know? You wanna try being the dog for a change and see how cushy you think my life is then

wow that is so freaking brillant.

"...he wouldn't have lasted a day as a fugitive, he's not devious enough."

I try to smile but I just can't do it, it is all too upsetting.

"And you are?"

Ron does manage to smile.

"Grew up with Fred and George didn't I? I'm a master at evasive action me.

haha funny

"Do you want to be turned back into a dog again?" Ron says with a chuckle.

lmfao he's cruel

How do you make me love Percy so? It's amazing! I never thought to love him though- you know? He just seemed to BE there to me and you completely turned my whole perspective of Percy. I love him to pieces now!

Thank you!

Oh and did you say Percy had blue eyes? That's so cute!
ohsnapitsbateman 5/3/07 . chapter 1
It had a great atmosphere to it, very diferent from other fics I've read of yours. Wish it could go on for more chapters : ) Would make a great adventure. Thanks again for a brilliant read.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. I loved the arugement between Pol and the toothless man! I liked Percy's method of redeaming himself, though I wouldn't like to see people's reactions to leaving Ron behind (Mrs Weasley, Hermione and Harry for a start, then again the twins and Ginny would be funny too...). It was a great idea, the Percy being the one to find Ron in what was thought to be the most unlikely place for him to be was great. Well done! Amazing story once more!

How nice of you to redeem the "utter git" (see, your stories have broadened my vocabulary, aren't you so proud? *G*).

Such a warm tale of brotherly love. I'm smiling. :)

Very nice! I liked that is was Percy who found him. I don't think anybody else would have let him stay. I think that earned Ron's trust back. Now on to LiP!
Kuko 1/28/06 . chapter 1
Another well-written piece! There seemed to be a bit of a back-story missing, but in this case, it wasn't overly important to the plot and the theme: sibling love. I love these Redeemed!Percy stories where Percy does something to gain the trust and love of his family again. Those are always so sweet and yours is no exception. Well done!

Nice. I'm always on the look-out for good Percy fics.

Now without being a burden to your other effort - YOU MUST DO A CONTINUATION!

As with many of your other pieces, all I can offer you is praise. This had it all, and it delivered :-)

There must be more to this story, even if you must tell it in the Perce perspective or make additions in others. Now that Perce has dropped that notice that Harry and Hermione are searching New Orleans, it would be a perfect strategy for him to make his way there. Afterall, they speak English and French, there are many quaters that can easily hide a person if they want to remain hidden. And with Hermione and Harry already finished searching the locale, if by chance they hear another rumour that Ron Weasley was sighted. The pair could easily dismiss it as only an old rumour that has just surfaced :-).

I thought it was interesting that Ron was surprised that Hermione was looking for him. The others went as much of a shock, but Hermione had Ron generally curious. Could something have happened prior to have made Ron think Hermione would be interested in looking for him or making the efforts she is to help clear his name. Which raises an important question, Shari, you alluded several times to the independent effort Hermione is making and the truth that when Ron asked the question towards Hermione's involvement in his search, Percy smiled :-). Another RW/Hrm Romance in the offing? (I hope so)

I can't wait to read the reactions of the Weasley's and the rest when Perce announces that he found Ron, and just let him go! That kind of defeats the purpose of looking for him, huh? ...lol. If Percy thought he was on the out's with the family before, imagine how they will react to him now :-). And I yearn to know what our Bookworm's reaction would be to hearing that Ron was sighted in Bangkok, yet she and Harry instead descided to cast off the unbelievable lead to Percy to pursue the more relieable one in New Orleans, and that she missed her opportunity to find him.

I know it's asking alot but please continue with this tale, it was an excellent start :-)

I'm glad that your trip to Thailand was productive writing wise, because if you hadn't went then it wouldn't have inspired you to write this wonderful short! I especially liked that you wrote it in the first person, making the overall tone of the story very personal. Although it took me quite awhile to figure out whom the narrator was (my fault for not reading the summary carefully beforehand). At first I thought it was Hermione, but I soon quickly eliminated both she and Harry from the equation.

In general, I love how you write Percy. He's not written as a traitor, wannabe evil lord or a Death Eater as some other authors would write. Some would write him off being slightly permanently injured to pay for his penance as it were and still others just kill him off for turning his back on his family. Your Percy on the other hand is very human. A man with his own convictions, ambitions and priorities that is not totally in sync with his family – a man who loves his baby brother very much despite his pride.

This is a touching story of brotherly love shining through despite the tough times with circumstances mentioned in both Order of Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince. It's nice to read how two very different, yet similar brothers reconnect. Of all the people you have chosen that could find Ron, I'm glad that it was Percy – I just wished that Ron gave Percy something (a memento) to prove that Percy had indeed seen him, but I reckon a simple dip into a pensive or something would prove that Percy was telling the truth. I also liked that even as a fugitive Ron is still basically Ron, being selfless, thinking of others welfare above his own and keeping his hope eternal.

Finally, I found myself laughing at the antics between Pol and the toothless man fighting over Ron's patronage. Being part Asian, that scene really hits rather close to home and I could vividly imagine that happening. I know how zealous any oriental street traders could be when selling their goods – especially to a non-Asian person (foreigner). I've seen it happen all the time when I visit Hong Kong with my father (he's European) – he would literally be tugged in many different directions by vendors. They would do anything to sell their goods sinking to simiar tactics in your short. I just find that scene all too surreal and that you captured it wonderfully! I just can't help to wonder if that or something similar happened to you too on your trip.

I love it, as always. You are a great author, you know? I really enjoy all of your fics. I liked Pol, her argument with the "toothless man" was so funny. Keep it up!
