 One percent 2009-11-12 . chapter 5amazing!
you got into Hiwatari's head and thoughts perfectly.
this chapter was so tense, it fitted the mood completely.
What a good thing to be able to have different opinions from people. how odd that we need others to understand ourselves. haha
Risa is so lovable! don't know why, but your story makes me like her! |
One percent 2009-11-12 . chapter 4Again, another awesome chapter of yours!
I am addicted, litteraly!
It's strange how Hiwatari long for care and affection, yet at the same time reject it. No, I don't mean it's strange, I mean it's so realistic. I love the aura of the story! |
One percent 2009-11-11 . chapter 3oh how good. This illness reminds me of good memories. :) it's so good to be taken care of like a small child, I can just picture Hiwatari with that blanket protecting him.

Berlioz II 2008-09-12 . chapter 6I must say I quite enjoy this story. Your characterisations are quite good all around, with enough individuality to have them deepend even more than from the source work, but still completely identifiable as the original characters. Now that's what I like seeing, and which many others often manage to botch.
The story itself is also very nice, though it may be a slightly familiar variation on many others I have read before when it comes to the basic premise (though granted it started life back in 2006), but it has the plus that the characters really come forward in a very natural and in-character way, though still with that hint of individuality I mentioned above, as well as none of the main cast being neglected at any point.
What is particularly appealing is that you don't just immediately jump into the "I think I love you" mode, but draw it out that neither Satoshi nor particularly Risa even really feel like that towards each other off the bat. It's nice of Satoshi to slowly come out of his shell via the ever understanding Daisuke, and Risa being unable to understand what is wrong with herself. And Riku's worry is just something I love to read about. Yeah... I'm a succer for twin moments, I'm not ashamed to admit.
The pacing is on the whole natural and the flow is good (not really feeling rushed regardless of what you say), and the slowness of the overall storytelling, with a lot of internal monologuing is something that I'm particularly partial to liking and do that myself quite a bit.
I remember that I've read the earlier chapters of this once, but I don't think I ever commented, so I'm taking the opportunity to do so now after having refreshed my memory a bit here. Certainly I wonder why I haven't really paid as much attention to this before as it really is very, very good... certainly one of the best SatoxRisa stories I've read around here. And it's always great to find one of these that isn't some tired ol' yaoi baloney. Seriously, those yaoi stories just tire me endlessly and I usually just give them a passing glare while waiting for something else to appear.
Anyhow, enjoyable, well written, well paced, and well characterised story you got going here. I'm certainly now going to keep tabs on this particular one. Keep on going, and I'll keep on reading. :)
