Interesting story! Well written, though I feel that some details could be fleshed out further, such as the part where Akira watched Hikaru feeding Sai.

This is a nice fic, I like it a lot. It played out exactly as one of the PoH's stories would, and with the people being from HnG that just made it more interesting. I wonder which rule Hikaru broke...perhaps he wasn't supposed to show the fish to anyone? But part of what makes this story so great is the ambigious feeling to it--nothing is entirely explained, leaving room for speculation. And if a story can make you think, it's good. :)

But it's great to see this posted. I think what is distinctive about this fic is the way you build in the details about Hikaru's encounter with the Count, Sai, and finally Touya's own meeting with the Count--all of it without compromising on either universe. I like the hints of Leon, Touya's unsuspecting fascination and Hikaru-as-fish.

I'm not familiar with HnG, but I have read all of PSoH and I really enjoyed this. The mood and the flow of the story reminds me of a PSoh story - and your characterization of D is spot-on (nice references to Leon, btw.)

Hmm, not quite sure what to say.
I was intrigued when I first started reading this since it didn't seem to be the usual Hikago fic. When I got to the part about "the Pet Shop in Chinatown", I LOL'd... then (knowing PSoH) I thought 'Oh **!' and sure enough... :X

It has the moody feel of PSoH and I like the references to the book series. But I did miss the inside story of why Hikaru was 'targeted' by Count D (there's usually a reason) I hope you write the inside story some time. I also liked the implication that Hikaru was turned into one of D's animals, though again, I'd like to know why.

There was one funny point where I thought this might turn into a HnG x PSoh x Antique Bakery crossover. Prolly because I just read the HnG x AB ficcie. (Must look up the other crossover fic you mentioned)

O.o ? i thought if sai will be a animal he'll be a hipopotamous or rhino or something like that... -.- but it should be a pet right so he became a fish... wa! you should make it multiple chap so that the mystery about Hikaru being drowned will be clear... Wow.. WOW.. *o* This is a really good fic! How'd you get the idea to cross HnG with Petshop of Horrors? If this wasn't a one shot I'd ask you to update soon, but since it's not oh well. This is a really interesting story! Great job!
