Wow, I didn't think THAT was going to happen when I was reading this chapter. Though the admitting of their feelings for each other seemed a bit rushed. I'm kind of nervous on how they're going to deal with, dun dun dun, Ukyo.

Aww, that came about too fast. I was hoping to hear more from Dachi than just that.

Well, Cologne will obviously go for a peaceful solution that wouldn't involve sacrificing Shampoo. Shampoo already had to be curse as punishment for not killing Ranma, what would the consequences be if she doesn't return to the tribe with a husband as well. I'd bet Cologne would do whatever it takes to protect her granddaughter from something even worse. Hell, a blood feud could be possible.

I'm just hoping Ranma can see that and the consequences around that. Let's not forget that he did officially challenge Shampoo to a marriage match when she had the reversal jewel on. He did that in his own volition and didn't even think about the consequences when he did beat her that second time around! Even if he got stronger I don't think he has any right to tell the Amazons what to do. Well that's my two cents.

Still, I suppose the method that you proposed should be sufficient. I mean a bloodless battle like that sounds good enough to determine who has any rights to their claims. Still, I can't help but feel sorry for Shampoo. There were times she was pretty cool and looked promising as a perspective wife.

Wow, never though about it that way. It's true that since he doesn't have full reign on the cat within himself he can't ever go all out. The ability to cut through steel from a distance and the animalistic behavior of the cat is extremely dangerous. Really, he would have to give up fighting to his full potential.

Ah, just noticed the category of this fanfic falling under humor and romance. Well that explains the lack of huge explosions and what not thus far. Still a good fic, off to read more.

I do have to mention, though serene, the scene was a bit uncharacteristically insightful. Ranma was able to so observantly depict his similarities to Kuno that it made him seem too clever. Likewise Kuno was too calm and accepting even with a negotiator present. Granted this scene must take place for the story to progress the way you want it but it was, just a tiny bit, out of character. Still nothing too serious and it was entertaining.

If Kuno was helped by Tsunami at least that is understandable about his unusual personality. Now if only Ryouga could get the same treatment. Hah, the curse of interesting times! Isn't the first I've heard of it but it's just such a funny curse.

Though, I would think Ranma would be a bit bored if he didn't have that curse around. I mean really Ranma is who he is due to such a curse. Well, still good chapter, I hope for more interesting things to happen to him. This is Ranma we're talking about afterall.

Well, true a month in the wilds would change someone.

Not only is he now thinking before he speaks, since he had to do that a whole lot while in US, but the lack of social interaction with his new found abilities make him much more keener to the slight signs people tend to give instead of speech. Those signs are more truthful really helps him read people and their intentions.

When Ranma was stalking that rabbit I couldn't help but think about Bugs and all the other werefolk that took the shape of prey animals. Quite disheartening.

I really liked how you made Ranma get more in touch with nature to control the beast within him. Most stories make it look like Ranma either overcomes the cat or melds with it in a mental struggle or adaptation to his fear. But this was the first time I've read of this method. Bravo. Very unique and interesting!

Well, honestly I don't think Ranma could match up to the elders even if he had control of the Nekoken. It would make him much more deadlier and put him NEAR an equal footing but I recall Cologne fighting against Neko Ranma decently and only stopped given the circumstances. Still, a very good chapter!

The chapter title is quite ironic. In the black usually means a profit, but now Genma is penniless again, and to add insult to injury, he is being shipped out of country.

Aww! I was hoping for another 30 chappies, but it was fun to see Ryoga roped and tied a bit, and that the wedding tured out nicely for the two of them, and looking forward to hopefully seeing more of your writings in the future.
