I'm with Peregrin on this one. They are so f*cked. But, then again, that just always makes their victory more impressive. Also, I like how you connected the symmetry in the poem with the symmetry of our two crazy 'gods'. Hopefully they'll take each other out?

I hate how the heroes hoard their technology and skills now I know most people couldn't hack it or understand it or the elements or isotopes are so rare and mass production is impossible or just not cost effective but imagine just a little bit in law enforcement agencies or medical insitutes could do

think of future generations and the countless who could be helped

The Titans are back, and the situation has never been more dire. The world may be the Lord's, but the moment belongs to the Titans. Your chapters continue to be epic. Keep up the good work!

God damn. All these DBZ ten-hour-long fights are starting to get on my nerves. ANd the exclamation points! You only need one, you know, especiially with how you bold/italicize the words.

Minor criticisms though. I'm used to how your fights scenes drag ON AND ON AND ON AND ON AND ON.

...Alright, I confess. The reason I didn't review last chapter is because I was lazy, not because I didn't read it. You have every right to be annoyed.

In regards to last chapter, you explained the Lord's sudden increase in power very nicely by having him leech the Sorceress' magic. You've managed to render my complaints about his overpoweredness null and void.

In regards to THIS chapter...it was good. My comments on the Lord/Metatron interaction scene are thus: MY views on the Lord's actions are similar to Metatron's (incedentally, was it you or Slothsoul who gave him the name "Metestasnathean?" I can't recall the name being used in either Children of a Lesser God or in any of the five chapters of Via Negative. Whoever came up with it, I like it). Why not just skip to killing the heroes, since the Lord is going to do it anyway, instead of trying to make a point first. For all the Lord's ranting about being more than a man and not being a villain, he just falls into the same flaws that tend to bring about the downfall of the very people he despises. If he's more than a man, shouldn't he be incapable of being flawed? Also, I note that the Lord's reactions to any resistance brought against him are the same reactions that were expressed by Superboy Prime: the challanger/s (read: hero/es) say that he is wrong and attempt to offer proof of the fact, and the Lord's reaction is "No I'm not. Die." It's the same thing that Superboy Prime was doing, only expressed in more and fancier words. The Lord claims to be better than Superboy Prime, yet he uses the same argument that so disgusted him during his fight with Prime. Hypocrite.

I have some questions about Metatron, though. First off, are there multiple versions of Metatron now? The Metatron introduced earlier in the fic is decidedly different from the one used here and in Silent Night. That Metatron, I assumed, is the same one that Slothsoul started writing about. Secondly, if there are multiple Metatrons, which universe is this one from? As far as I can tell, there seem to be (at least) three universes with Metatron in them. The one introduced earlier in the fic (Metatron I) seems to be from Via Negative, the one mentioned here (Metatron II) seems to be from the alternate universe mentioned in Silent Night, and the last Metatron is the one that got killed in Boogeyman IV. THAT Metatron, though he didn't have any lines that I can remember, didn't seem to act like either of the Metatrons mentioned in this fic. But I'm not done yet! If Metatron II is indeed the same as the Metatron mentioned here, that how is it the he and THIS Lord know each other, unless this Lord did some dimensional travelling? Thus it must be taken that there are four different Metatrons: Metatron I (from Via Negative and earlier this fic), Metatron II (from the alternate universe mentioned in Silent Night), Metatron I (from Boogeyman IV), and the one in this chapter, Metatron IV. If all that confused you, dont' worry: I'm still trying to comptrehend it myself.

Well, I now know for sure that the Titans are alive. If the original attack didn't kill them, the collapsed tunnel won't either. Also, the Lord of the Night? Basically one big 'oh crap' moment, now increased exponentially. Can't wait to see how they get out of this one.

if most villians used their minds and/or other talants for legitimate business causes could be more profitable then any crime spree

But heroes can be sanctimonious hypocrits and it's then I understand villians dedicating their lives to proving them wrong beating up thugs, psychos, and whatever nutcase that wants to take over the world this week (though I'm all for villains who at least have a point and frighteningly may even be right about their benevolent dictatorship like Ra's al Ghul and Lex Luthor who as he says if he was calling all the shots could end famine and cure cancer give everyone truly futuristic non polluting technology and superpowers lead humanity and the rest of the universe to unimaginable glory) isn't good enough we need to fight ignorance and poverty crime at its source not effects when the common man does not know what is best for him, his wife, their children, and their children's children, and with the extreme right and extreme left who get caught up in their ideals and ignore brutal facts who know nothing or have very little and diverse ingormation and not a true real world understanding of politics, economics, technological logistics, and how they are all interconnected in the long run people who want everything right here right now but don't want to work for it thinking if the governement and big businss were gone they would have nothing standing in their way but that will only lead to barbarism we all have to work hard all day every day for generations that is what it takes and with organized religion perpetuating ignorance thus slowing, stopping, and reversing the progress of all mankind the common man often does not know what is best for him and his children's children

I'm glad the government has Cadmus, Checkmate, Suicide Squad, the Elite, and Secret Six (yes I know the current incarnation are of the six are villians but they stood up to the worse villains so there)

Woah. A veritably kick-** chapter, with a new flavor of battle, and a different set of heroes to use (making the story less likely to get mundane, IMO).
