NYA. Update. T-T Your story -- if somewhat confusing -- is refreshingly original and absolutely enjoyable to read. !o! Update please~~!

Wow, bringing in the A-bomb makes so much sense, yet still has such an element of surprise. The clash of escapism and reality, probably the most brutal reality possible, is jarring but very effective. And seeing it from the point of view of those already dead provides a safety net of sorts, as cowardly as that may sound. I find myself wondering how I'd feel if I knew about it in advance. Sometimes the horror of it is so immediate, it DOES feel as if it is happening now, and will always be happening now.

Probably the only thing I had trouble with was the sudden shift from third person to first person, and then the change of point of view between Tatsumi and Tsuzuki. Tsuzuki sounded a little scatterbrained to me, although maybe that is how you intended it and is part of a larger picture that I can't see right now. But I do feel that this interrupted the aura of stillness and anticipation that you had created in the first chapter.

I would love to read any updates...got anything in the cooker? Your writing is excellent.

The subject of death in war, particularly WWII, is something that doesn't come up in YnM even though you would think it would have its issues--particularly in the Nagasaki and Okinawa chapters (too sensitive maybe?)--so I was interested to see someone take that on, since I don't know when I'm going to get to it myself. Having Tsuzuki and Tatsumi as partners not too sure with they stand with each other yet is a situation I can relate to and I'll be very interested to see how their relationship in your story develops through what horrors they encounter, whether it makes them closer or farther apart or what. You've got guts for taking on the A-bomb, as it remains a sensitive and controversial subject even now, so good luck. I imagine the going's only gonna get harder from here on out.

This sounds really interessant to me. It's a great idea to explore old Tats and Tsu relation trought this episode, I mean, they are quite old both for beign there in Nagasaki times... omg, this must be horrible for all of them! And why does Tsuzuki want Tatsumi think he doesn't like him? Poor Tatsumi... don't do that to him...
