| Eternal Optimist 2008-02-18 ch 9, | abuseWow this story was so amazing! All the detail and description you put into it are so unbelievable. You words painted such imagery that I could see the whole story playing out in my mind's eye down to every detail. |
| Eternal Optimist 2008-02-18 ch 2, | abuseThis is a really good story! Gotta love ML! |
| dgurisko2001 2006-09-29 ch 9, | abuseOK, I've probably read hundreds of Dark Angel stories over the last few years on differant sites and I have to say although far from anything that actually happened in season one, this is far and away among my top five favorite fan fics of all time |
| Dee 2006-08-14 ch 9, anon. | abuseGreat Story...off the typical timeline, but an awesome well thought out romance and true to the characters |
| Kyre 2006-05-10 ch 9, | abuseAw! *sniff sniff* Such a sweet ending, and now it's over! *sniff* I'm so glad that Max and Logan were finally able to open up to each other and allow themselves to accept happiness. Also it's good for Max to open up to Maggie and be welcomed afterward - sounds like just what she needed. I like the part about saying goodbye to her family from the past and moving into her future; now that she and Logan really have each other, and Max has a sister/cousin, the future is a welcoming place. Max's past shaped her...but it doesn't have to define her. That part is up to Max. And now I've just passed my corniness limit for this review, so I'd like to take this opportunity to point out how cool the image of Logan appearing on his horse is. Yum! I'll be relishing that one for a while. I'm so proud of you for starting and finishing this story. I've really, really enjoyed it, and I appreciate all the work you put into it even when real life wasn't cooperative. You built a whole new world (rim shot) for Max and Logan, and for us readers as well. I was glad to spend time there. Thank you. :) |
| Kasman 2006-03-18 ch 9, | abuseFinally, it comes to an end. Thanks for all your work on this one - it was slow and drawn out but well worth the effort. I have enjoyed the journey very much. Please keep writing...no matter how long it takes... |
| Mari83 2006-02-11 ch 9, | abuseI’m really glad you finished this story! Although it’s kind of sad there will be no more of it, it’s great to see that such an excellent story got an equally excellent ending. |
| DA Bob 2006-02-10 ch 9, | abusePhew! Fitted a lot into that chapter! Glad you returned and polished this story off. I always love getting reacquainted with a story, especially when there is a new chapter to read! The way you have Max and Logan swap roles between confessor and supporter is great. Shame to hear this will be your last DA fic, you have a knack for these two messed up, mixed up lovers. Anyway, thanks for returning and completing. |
| DarkAngela7 2006-02-05 ch 9, | abuseI'm glad you finished this and didn't let it dwindle into the world of unfinished fics. I like how you ended it on a very nice note with a glimmer of hope for M&L, but nothing with absolute certainty. What is for certain in their world? It's a great way to end and it was a great story overall. |
| Me 2006-02-05 ch 9, anon. | abuseThis can't be the end. You must tell us what happens later. Maybe you could pick up a few years down the road when they have to run back to the mountains. Then you could skip ahead a few years and show us what becomes of them living in the mountains. I want more...please! I was so thrilled to see that you had updated after so many months. Do you realise you started this fic in 2001 and some of us are STILL reading it. Please give us more! Thanks for this one. |
| M/L Only 2006-02-05 ch 9, | abuseWell done! You've finally finished this - thank you. |
| Bob 2005-01-12 ch 8, anon. | abuseI'm very impressed that you posted! I was sure this would be another wasted story. THank you for returning and sharing your writing with us. And please don't keep us waiting too long for the next installment... but don't rush it either! |
| MMTripBobSally 2005-01-10 ch 8, anon. | abuseOh PLEASE! I'm BEGGING you! Don't make this the end! I want to read more, but there is no more, Oh I am so sad! Please update in a time=ly mannor (that's not to rush you, as you probably have a life of your own to deal with, but just, for the sake of kindness, don't wait as long to update this time (that assuming of course that there is more to come, which there better be) So... Very good story, I like your writing style, and am eargerly awaiting the rest. |
| Beckster-weckster 2005-01-09 ch 8, anon. | abuseHey, I just read this whole thing (chap1-8) and I am in love! If you stop here, I donno... I will be very sad! I want more! So, now that I've been glued to the COmputer for many hours now, please update sometime in the near future... Please~! I did notice a few errors, but considering how much story you have there, it is definately not hurting the story. |
| Kyre 2005-01-03 ch 8, | abuseWhoo-hoo! I was happy to see that you'd posted. I waited to read it until I had a chance to sit down by myself and really enjoy it, and it was worth the wait. No fair, though--you got me all excited about the length of the chapter, and then I found out that was due partly to songfic! The song was relevant, and I like the thought that Max listened to it while pretending to be unconscious, but I was still kinda disappointed, lol. I want a full chapter of original Aquila text next time. :) I am so glad Logan and Max have each figured out what they want--and to go after it! I love the sentences where they realize it: "Logan marvelled at how naturally the intimate gesture came to him." "That’s when it hit her. She’d already let go...and for the first time in her life, Max had finished running." "Logan swore to himself that he wouldn’t make the same mistake with Max." *cheers* I also like the parts where Max and Maggie think about Logan's near-suicide attempt...Max realizing how much it would have devastated her, Maggie wanting to make sure he wasn't going to do it again. I like the way you have him promise that without saying it in so many words. Very Logan, that. I felt bad for Maggie, though. It's funny--the first time she started crying, I thought she was mourning Simon. Imagine my surprise when I read further and found out she hadn't been, lol. Good thing Logan was around to comfort her. Now on with the finale! |
