I admit I could not concentrate properly on this story while reading, but even though it is chilling.
This frustration that makes Severus cry is a thing I only to well understood having the same problem. And it is good to see this cliché crying=weak man not being used.
Something I thought a bit too much was killing his grandfather before going to Hogwarts. I think it unbelieveable.

At last the most important thing: this connection between magic and music and Severus Snape was great!
