skenshingumi 2006-02-15 ch 1,	abuseThis was a really nicely done slice of life for the Himura family. The pacing felt very natural, there was downplayed drama without being melodramatic and very natural exchanges between husband and wife and father and son. I love how Kenji's curiosity, playfulness and fears all come through at different points. I am also glad that you continued the story with a very caring exchange between Kenshin and Kaoru without being overly erotic. After almost freezing to death, I would imagine that Kenshin would just want to relax and soak up the message. It was nice to see Kaoru have such mature and toned down reactions here as she tryies to keep Kenji calm while doing all she can for Kenshin.

The captured innocence... Kenshin has been shown in a new light- not one of the guilt striken hitokiri, nor the clueless rurouni but as a common husband & father.. Pleases keep writing.
