Sweet and sad. An interesting combination. It was sincere though, and I thank you for that, for all that I don't know whether to smile, cry, or yell in frustration. Or whimper in fear that they'll never get over their idiocies. Confusing it is, but still, very touching and very real. Maybe that's part of it-life is never simple, so to express it best, the expression can't be simple either.

It seemed incomplete. I guess I've been reading too many 'I love you.'s It is cute anyway. I like it! :)

"In his haste to protect her, he always hurt her a little more. " - I really love that, though I'm not quite sure why. It kind of... reminds me of Ed from FMA, but maybe I'm just quick to compare him and InuYasha. I don't know... the stubborness, and the inability to show any feeling other than anger... Gah. It [that quote] is just so perfect and represents them both so well... Does that make sense? Oi, nevermind.

Oh, and I thought this was hillarious and well-phrased: "The only thing that saved him from the sitting of his life was the unexpectedly unguarded expression on his face." Hehehe, the sitting of his life. :)Yay.

Anyway, this was sweet. :P

It's a sweet and sensitive story and very well written but it's jarring to read a story with the central theme of Kagome and Inuyasha having such a strained relationship after all of the events in the Manga over the last year or so illustrating how close they are. Inuyasha's line in chapter 411 from last Summer "I'll always be with you" or even earlier the incident with the Stone Oni.

If the story takes place earlier in the time line then that needs to be clearer. There are points in their developing relationship where this sort of angst would work but it just doesn't work for me as something that takes place any time recently.
