trascendenza 2006-12-01 . chapter 1The best word I can think of to describe this is lovely. The writing and flow of words has such a tranquility about it, the same kind that Ennis and Jack find in the water, surrounded and suffused by the "acceptance of the natural world." I love stories that are small slices in time, that don't require huge amounts of exposition to explain what they mean but pack all their power into a short vignette much like Proulx did, and this really has that element to it.
And now I come back to my original word... lovely work :) Very poetically and beautifully rendered. Thank you :) |
