So, back to the review stuff...hmm. Well, 'alter' in the sentences at the beginning should be 'altar', I guess, because 'alter' is a verb meaning 'to change', while 'altar' is the actual (usually religious) table/platform thing that I'm sure you meant. ^_^

As always, I am really glad to see this updated, especially because new story/chapter alert emails in my inbox have been vanishingly few lately...I've even started reading (gasp!) non-video-game stuff! ;)

Hey, I totally love this fic. I'm a huge Star Ocean 3 fan, and little surprise that Mirage is my fav! I think you've done such a great job with this fic. And I'm glad you said you wouldn't quit on it, since so many people do that with good fics. Well I can't wait to see an update soon. Keep up the good work!

Ch.7- From the AN, I really do owe you a couple updates by now, don't I? I'm such a slacker. ^^ Uh... I mean, I was in a coma, too. Yup... Someone threw me at a prinnie, I swear.
Love this chapter because Cliff and Mirage are reunited (even if she is a teensy bit unconscious. And Albel and Peppita even helped out, too! I'm loving it!
Ch.8- Your least favorite so far? Nonsense, I say! Bad Author! I loved the flashbacks... mini-Mirage was so cute. And teen Mirage was quite well done, too. I "awwed" out loud for her. Stupid non-pedophile Cliff... Wow, that sounds quite strange. -shakes head- Poor Sophia... always the hostage... but at least she was really quite useful before she got kidnapped. She doesn't always get to be useful in fanfiction. ^^
Ch.9- Funny, I say the same thing about work... XP The Peppita back-story was pretty sweet, I wasn't expecting that. ^^ And Mirage is back to herself, finally! Damsel in distress, indeed. Heh... I think I may even feel bad for Luther. Though we'll see what happens...
Whew, I'm too long-winded. To paraphrase: great work and update soon! One can never have too much Clirage!

Woohoo! Another update! I was really starting to get worried. And the update was on my birhtday to boot! (4/4) This was awesome chapter and it seems that the entire "gang" will be coming together very soon. And Cliff and Mirage finally had a face to face reunion! Can it get any better? Hey, you're back! I mean, yes, I did see the Disgaea story recently, but it's awesome to see Dragonfly's Fire going again. Only problem now is I have even more of an obligation to get Nature of Strength going again. ^_^ Not like I didn't already, of course.

Once I get my brain put back together I'll come back and give this a proper (logged in) review (and review the last chapters that I've missed reviewing, as well). It might still be a while, though, so this'll have to tide me over for helpful-reviewing-ness (^_^):

I did really like this chapter, though I ought to go back and re-read some of the past ones to get the full impact from it...I'll do that before the next review.

I especially liked how Mirage did her best to minimize and turn around her damsel-in-distress situation, and Sophia's characterization as well, in healing Albel as much as she could even though she herself was gravely injured. And then of course Albel running off looking for revenge. ^_^

There were a couple word-swaps I noticed...let's see if I can find one again...well, it's not the most useful example, but here's one:

In the line: "Mirage sighed. For once, she was at a lost as to how to initiate a conversation." -- 'lost' should be 'loss'.

I'll try and be a bit more helpful with the next review.

Luther totally reminds me of the Borg (except more emotional, somehow), once you made the Star Trek reference... ^_^ ..."Resistance is futile." Yep.

Wow I just started reading your fic yesterday and it just blew me away! It's awesomely good!! This is one of the best AU fics I've ever read and believe me I've read a lot of AU's. It takes a lot of talent to write a capivating AU but you've done a good job with it! You've kept the characters in tact and you even included all of them! So anyway...when the next update?

WOW WEIRD when it came to the first flash back i was like damn this is oddly oddly familiar and then i was like no n o i have read that before and then by the time the secound flashback came around i realized i had just gotten a chapter alert for this but i have only read the last chapter i mean nothing else was familiar at all weird...but anyhow i love this fic and i want more updates in fact i demand thenm do you understand? lol well alright all you have to do is try to update a whole bunch and I'll be happy with you. thanks for the fic and contact me if you know of any other good or hopefully great fics i should add to my C2.

WoW i thought the begining of this was so cute with the whole looking for her daddy act that peppita played and the last paragragh of that was sweet. And man the story unfurls when i found out about FIRE and all that i like literally gasped out loud lol. And i can't wait till mirage and cliff get together. You do a really good job with mirages charicter and i hope i have stressed that enough because your amazing. Oh and if i havent said it before i want to add this fic to my C2 and I'd love any cliff mirage fics you have done will do or have seen because as always I'd love to support that pairing in any way possible there just isn't enough of them.

Wow this is really coming together you know this fic is really detailed i must admitt i have had to read a few parts over to make sure i had the jist of it. I really like these kind of fics they're the ones you get so into that you find yourself threatening the author about updates lol but that's how it goes i guess. I love how everytyhing is working out and damn there is alot of good actioon in here its like and angnst/drama/action/thriller/romance/just really really cool fic if that makes any sense.

OH that was so sweet oh cliff is so sweet oh oh oh i loved the line:"I won’t let that happen to you, Mirage. I can’t…I just can’t. Even after all this time I still want to be your protector. As silly as it sounds, I want to be your hero.” it was so sweet aw. i loved this chapter and i think it is great how you have put so many different charicters into this already very nice.

hm. confusing at parts but good i think it is interesting if nothing else and it is still done well plus it is sweet how cliff is trying to find her AWW.
