Queen of the Skye 2009-09-06 . chapter 7sorry, little discrepancy..._knitting_ is the one with the wooden sticks. _crocheting_ is the one with metal hooks. you got them mixed up, and i'm really ocd about that. sorry. |
Queen of the Skye 2009-09-06 . chapter 2whah? this makes uniquely little sense...although i do agree with whoever the narrator is (carlotta?) on 2004 movie christine's voice... |
Mel 2009-06-23 . chapter 51 Wonderful! That was a great deal of fun to read. I could tell as I was reading that your ideas for what this story would be and do were changing as you went along, but it really didn't take away from it at all. I love your Carlotta; she's so rational and snarky! The Shade is wonderful as well - I couldn't get enough of the two of them interacting. And as for the ingenious plane - well, I'm still cracking up over it even now. :D |
PuckForPresident 2008-11-24 . chapter 51I loved this story! Snarky heroines and snappish anti-heroes developed from supporting characters? Very original. |
Charon de Rouen 2008-11-14 . chapter 1An interesting premise for a phanphic. It's very similar to the one used by Jasper Fforde in his novels. |
A Dash of Yellow 2008-11-10 . chapter 51God I didn't want it to be over. The plot was so crazy and utterly unique.
I absolutely adore it. This has to be one of my all time favorite story on Fan Fiction.
I couldn’t stop reading; I love the character devolvement and witty lines. I really hope you make a sequal. |
LadyAsenath83 2008-10-02 . chapter 51Thank you for creating one of the most original, captivating and funny pieces of fanfiction I have had the honour to read here. This is a true gem from start to finish. |
frakkyfire 2008-09-29 . chapter 1Wow. Wowwowwowwowwow. I LOVE this story! Seriously, I was ridiculously upset when I reached the end and had to part ways with the characters. It's brilliant, sly, engaging, mocking, intriguing, witty, and absolutely hilarious - I even like the silly 'snakes on an ingenious plane' reference. There are a few grammatical and spelling errors sprinkled around, but you have mentioned that this is only a draft anyway, and they're not all that distracting.
But really, I cannot get over how incredible this story is (probably why this is such a rambling, nonsensical review). The characters are so rich and amusing (I especially like MegSue's breaking of the MarySue bonds and the inclusion of Leroux), and the plot is at once delightfully confusing and surprisingly logical - or at least explained in a satisfactory, if unconventional, manner. And the Shade is just a big bowl of awesome, of course.
Anyways, I'll bring this ridiculous review to an end with three words: BEST. PHANFICTION. EVER.
P.S. - I would love you forever in a completely non-creepy way if there were sequels to this. :) |
Kryss LaBryn 2008-09-28 . chapter 5This is freakin' awesome. Hilarious! I love it!! And I LOVE your Author's Note. XD

crazed-ink-slinger 2008-09-22 . chapter 51"Do you want to live in an opera house that puts on imaginary operas and is run like a school for teenaged girls?”
“Erik can deal with it. Erik is just a fluffy puppy on the inside.”
Classic! Your humor never failed me! ^_^ This was very wonderful. I'm so glad you kept it up! It gives me hope that I might one day finish mine. It will be the first story I've ever finished if I do, so there are considerable hopes and, it follows, a considerable amount of appreciation toward all the inspiration from you that is involved... I love the sense of closure you have here- the pleasant kind that manages to be final and full of opportunity all at once. I would hope you will share your polished version with us, as I would love the feeling that we might be able to rediscover it in a way... oh, and (as you might expect from me) I would love just a teensy bit more Shade Carlotta fluff!
Hoping there is much more mutual authorial enjoyment between us,
-inkslinger |
Adi Sagestar 2008-09-11 . chapter 51Please, do write a sequel. This story is of such phenomenal quality that I would hate to see it go. If you haven't yet come up with an idea for where they are, I have a few suggestions. You could do Lord Of the Rings, Harry Potter, or even one of the other POTOverses. I think it would go marvelously in LOTR, if a bit oddly. Do consider it.
Best regards,
Adi

Jarenth 2008-09-09 . chapter 51You know, I don't want this to be over, either.
SIMPLY THE BEST PARODY I HAVE EVER READ |
 Avernestar 2008-09-08 . chapter 50Yay!! An update!
So, where are we off to now?! And what does our opera ghost have up his skinny sleeve? At least The Shade got the first page back, but so far it doesn't seem to be doing any good if Erik is still on the run.
Oh please update soon! I've gotta know what happens! |
Atressa O'Riordan 2008-06-10 . chapter 49Oh my goodness. I just spent -way- too long reading this but I am afraid I simply could not stop! Terrifically amusing tale. I will sadly admit I do not rightly recall The Shade, but I love the terms used to describe him and the others, and the characterization.
I can't wait for the final chapters. |
Avernestar 2008-04-30 . chapter 49Yay!! I love this story. It's going on my alert!
Please update soon :) |
