Tairona 2006-03-03 ch 4,	abuseOne thing: I LOVE STANLEY! Ok, with that said, I think this was my favorite chapter so far. The 3rd one was a bit slow. I know you were setting things up in it, but I feel like some of it could have been condensed. This chapter was awesome though ... the issue with the bathtub (... I mean, hippo ... I mean, elephant ;p ... I mean, STANLEY!) was brilliant. I love it when the Jenkins home is portrayed as being this unruly mess of children--it's quite fitting for Sophie and Howl. XD (And you must have quite the exciting home life, if that's what inspired this ... lol). The only thing I have to ask is ... where was Calcifer in all of this? Meep?

Tairona 2006-02-16 ch 2,	abuseYay, you updated! I agree that this chapter was slower than the first one, but it was still good. I think I'm just impatient to see more of Morgan. ;p And don't worry about not having many HMC characters in this one ... I really like all of your OCs, and how you give each of them strong characteristics ... despicable Edmund, the bored Chancellor, the over-make-upped (ok, that's definitely not a word) Baroness Helga ... and what's up with that Rosalba girl? I hope to see more of her in later chapters ... she seemed quite interesting (in a creepy way)! And for the brief amount of time you had Sophie show up, you definitely nailed her character. :) And hurray for references to Howl's absurd use of aliases, and also hurray for cliffhanger endings. ;p Ah! Poor Sophie and Meliora ... I wouldn't want to be in their position ... can't wait to find out what happens to them. :)

Tairona 2006-02-08 ch 1,	abuseI really love your story so far! It's well written and your characters are all thought out quite nicely. I especially liked their little quirks, like Meliora's father going on and on about what the Maurus' should change. :) And yay for Morgan! That's a great moment when he shows up. :) And I liked James, too, although I would've thought it would be Morgan getting drunk, not him ... but then again, that would just be _too_ expected from a Jenkins. ;p As for the nitty-gritty little details that could only be gotten from HMC itself (how could you lose your copy? egads! lol ...): -It's "Suliman" (one "L") not "Sulliman" -In a high class circle like this one, Howl probably wouldn't be known as Sorcerer Jenkin (his Porthaven alias) but as the Wizard Pendragon (his Kingsbury name). Therefore, Morgan is probably either known as Morgan Pendragon or (if Sophie managed to disabuse Howl of his love for elaborate names) just Morgan Jenkins (Jenkins is Howl's real last name). -And don't forget, Howl is a Royal Wizard, too! Maybe you didn't forget, but when you mentioned Ben being Royal Wizard you made it sound like he was the only one. Ok, I'm done. Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see where you go with this. :) And now, I must tear myself away from this site and try to get a life ;p Tairona
