I'm a real fan of Star Trek, and this is a good, short story

Don't spoil the moment, indeed. This is good. You even caught dear Janeway's occasional rudeness perfectly. "Dinner can wait". Sigh. I can't imagine loving someone enough to take that kind of nonsense, but...
