You did an excellent job of ending the Evangelion series. It is what I had anticipated it to be while watching the anime the first time around. The whole idea of Rei becoming more human-like and using that experience to save Shinji (and practically the world) in the end feels more compelling. Plus, it did not hurt that you paired Shinji with Rei. I adore that pairing despite all the arguments that many people have presented in terms of genetic composition. I believe it to be more of a social argument, and even then, is relative to experience and how one view the world.

But going back to the review, itself, Chapter 38 really got to me. At first, I thought Asuka was going to be the one to do IT but your translation into making it Shinji's doing was very well done and emotional. I can only imagine how moving that scene would be if it was in the actual anime itself. Furthermore, you did a great job showing Asuka's character development towards the end as she matured, accepting her fault and desire to protect Shinji soon after. It is those things that would get me to like the red-head a bit more and make me consider the Shinji and Asuka pairing in a brighter light.

In any case, I want to send my regards to you for putting together such a wonderful piece of work. As far as I am concerned, this is the TRUE ending to Neon Genesis Evangelion.

I have to say that without a doubt... this is the BEST Shinji/Rei pairing I've ever read. Not only was the romance bit good, but the actual plot and drama of it fit perfectly, through my opinion. I can actually say I don't find anything wrong with this at all. It's incredible! Sir, I will be reading your writing. Thank you for bringing this piece of perfection into this site. Bubye~!

Pretty good mate- I like your style of writing, even with your way of writing dammit with an n :P the Rei-as-12th-Angel thing is well done, and I especially liked Ritsuko and Gendo taking each other out. He is such a bastard, and she's just stuffed in the head (I mean, your mother's lover? Seriously!) would have liked to see what happened to Misato post Third Impact as she is far and away my favourite character, but thought your ending was quite appropriate. Must admit, when I was reading your blurb before diving into the story I was not expecting an Asuka/Kaworu pairing to develop, and feel she was slightly OOC throughout but hey, you made it work and let's face it, the whole bunch are mucked up in that anime so who knows really? Not me. Ok, maybe not PenPen.. but there I draw the line.

I just finished reading your story...and i am going to adopt it as the TRUE! ENDING! xD. seriously, it is a great story and it stayed true to the original NGE.

The changes you made were really great and realistic but for a fan fiction you might have stayed to much to the original plot. ( not that i dont mind) you integrated your own with it perfectly.

I would also like to compliment you on your MP battle with Asuka. It was very well writen.

Color me impressed. I've been away from the fan fiction community for awhile, and I was looking for something new (that was actually worth reading), and I stumbled upon your little fic.

I would first praise your characterization of Rei. Rei is one of the most challenging to characters to work with, but you have done quite a good job of capturing her in all her subtleties. I would also say that your treatment of the Shinji/Rei pairing was one of the best I've seen from a young fan fiction writer in quite some time. You are absolutely right that the pairing works best when it's understated.

My only suggestion would be to compile all the chapters into a one or two-part stand-alone. By compiling them, you would emphasize the unity in your piece, and sharpen up the continuity considerably.

Again, quite well done.

the fact of her genteic origins is one of the origonal problems i had with the shinjiXrei couple
but rei isnt a true clone a clone is an exact genetic duplicate
rei is the mix of genes from both yui and lilith so technecly she isnt a clone but just a test tube baby that has been cloned and died twice but not a clone of his mother(shinji)

I can without hesitation say that this is the perfect fanfiction series. I am serious, man. This is the above all greatest thing ever. It had the plot, the humour, the romance, the violence, the actual explanation to some of the things that happens in the series. I did not understand anything from anime episode 15 and up, and when I was done watching it, I sat rocking back and forth in a chair drinking relaxing tea for a week to calm my mental stability (If there is one, that is). Thanks to you, one or two wtf questions has been answered. Keep up the perfect work and i would love the A/U continuation, so post it soon.

Superb Story. One of the best S/R stories i have read. I actually teared up a bit in the last angel battle. It was Excellent and good luck to other stories.
