I really enjoyed reading this and can't wait for you to continue! I like that your take on Erik's post-opera life is so different from most in that he's poor and working and living in a bad neighborhood and making friends instead of the typical situation where he's rich and living in a huge house but still all alone. I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with it... and also to seeing how Christine will be reincorporated after the little snippets of her you gave at the very beginning.
I noticed a few errors throughout in English and grammar that a beta or editor might be able to smooth out for you. If you ever need anyone to help you out with anything, feel free to ask me anytime! :)

Your story interests me. As of yet I do not even see an inkling of any romance, and you seem to be giving Kay!Erik some new life. You certainly have been doing your research, too- I was drawn to your story the minute I saw a location in France that was not simply "Paris". I'll bet Erik shall do rather well amongst les bohémiens, non? I would suggest more descriptive paragraphs, but I believe I am saying that simply because I am wanting something to dig my teeth into since it looks as though the "real action" has not taken place as of yet. Très bien! I look forward to another chapter.
