yes, basically I loved this chapter, I was a bit shocked that Hiko was shocked, but that's a reasonable reaction
I'd really want to know why Kenshin is watching Hiko like that... I have there is more to it than what you gave away... maybe Hiko is just jumping to conclusions
it was wonderful how you implied that Kenshin understood without saying why Hiko wants to go into town

hm... did you know that this review is the 98th for a 2 chapter story... I mean *WOW* amazing, this story really deserves the attention

I don't know how many times I came back to read this story (maybe 10-15?) but I loved it every single time and I realized that I never reviewed... how can that be?

I don't know how to start listing the good things but I'll give it a go
I like that how you describe little Kenshin, he seems to have a relapse into his slave persona and a mild case of (almost) terror silence, but you also suggest that he's thinking about things in his head when he is watching Hiko
the beginning is so funny but turns pretty serious fast, it's nice to see that Kenshin did have some issues that were a challenge to solve
getting into Hiko's personality is difficult and here he looks so... so... Hiko (argh... I cannot find the best word)
and the last scene with the bath... ahem... I'm trying very hard not to drool on the keyboard... *laugh* appart from that, this is a great part with characterization and deep thoughts (and long dark hair unbound but that's deside the point)

haah... there... a nice review of decent length
