That was beautiful! I remember when I watched the end of Yugioh, I cried. This piece invoked some of the same feelings in me as that last episode. I love how you kept talking about Kaiba's heart being shattered (from Death-T) and very fragile: but Atemu left anyway, and now Kaiba is more alone than ever. I liked the whole theme of the piece as well...how Kaiba won't admit to himself that he loved Atemu; that is so in character for him.

This is almost unbearably sad, but also beautiful, and I'm glad I read it today. You know (you told me once you were reading Equilibrio, my SY fic) I'm a sucker for this couple. They're my OTP of all OTP's... and even if the tone of this ficlet is sad, I'd like to think there's a flicker of hope in those dreams. Maybe. Thanks for giving us this beautiful little piece.
