I'm very curious about the resolution of Edmund's dreams and I'm not surprised that Peter is thinking of enlisting in the army. It's quite fitting and I could see him willing to defend England as ardently as he defended Narnia. I look forward to the next chapter!

It's something I never thought of, but you're absolutely right - Susan's denial of Narnia could very well have started because she couldn't go there and didn't want to deal with the pain. Beautiful. I liked Ed and Peter's interaction all through this chapter too. Great job.

I think the conversation between the brothers seems so natural, especially considering their shared experiences. And I agree with another reviewer that Edmund rocks in this story. No, I'm sure Edmund isn't very thrilled with that piece of information. sigh Ed and Peter discussing about whether the White Witch died or not or was brought back to life, reminded me of having the same discussion with fellow Narnia fans. And -- at least in his dream -- the Green Lady is Jadis; hm. So many questions... ;-) Wonderfully written.

He'll be better prepared than any of the privates that go out there. He, at least, has been to war before. He's practically a veteran! It would be wrong of him, knowing what a great soldier he can be, not to enlist. He fought for the freedom of the Narnians, can't he fight to free the jewish people who are also sons and daughters of Adam and Eve? Now, I'm not saying that it would be wrong of Peter to decide NOT to go to war, Aslan knows he's seen enough of it, but I don't see anything wrong with him choosing to enlist. He'll probably be drafted before then, anyway, if he's over 18 (and, in college, he might be.) Poor Edmund! I like how you turn the Green Witch, who we never really learned anything about, into Jadis. You make a valid point, if one group talked of bringing her back, what's to say another group didn't actually do it? Perhaps there was a dwarf who idolized Nikabrik and wanted to get revenge on Caspian through Jadis? But, Silver Chair probably has nothing to do with your plot. Anyway, it was a just a random dream of Ed's, right? More soon!

You already know my main thoughts on the bulk of it, but I don't believe I mentioned that I liked the fact that you had Peter watching Edmund when Nikabrik and the Hag and the Wolf were speaking about the White Witch. That was yet another very nice touch to add to this story.
