Very good story. It took a while, but I finally caught on that you were using Princess Mononoke characters. But, aren't Triki's small things that have their heads shake uncontrolably in the wind?

Actually, no offence, but the writer of this story already HAS a sequel underway - it's called "Wind Voice". This fic... is rather strange. It doesn't match the original author's writing style. Her original sequel is better - in my eyes. Others may think diffreently.
