I was just in the middle of reading your 'Wolf Mask' fic when I stopped to take a peak at your profile and any other stories you might've written.
I liked this, I'm just not sure how the lyrics at the top relate to the rest of the story.
Is Kurenai forgiving Asuma for something or vice versa...?

What I see, is simply an exhausted quiet after a long and hard battle. You described it so magically and I offer you major kudos for that. Not to mention the ending kiss. :P

anyway! this is really a good one, ki. the atmosphere, asuma's characterisation, the focus on colour and movement and not-really-there emotions just pulls it all together into a short and achingly honest look into asuma in Anbu.

not to mention the fantastic job you do of giving kurenai a complete presence and personality in our minds (as well as asuma's) through asuma's observations... in all the smallest motions.
