The line " He knows that the palms are smooth because Kaiba's never done a bit of work in his life.." feels wrong to me, because in one of the episodes in Duelist Kingdom, Kaiba is working on his new duel disk which he made himself, and he said he created the one after that aswell lol. So he does a lot of things at his corporation

Probably the best, most in-character one-shot that I've read with these two. It think it's the perfect "in denial phase" sort of fic, that could segueway into something sweeter. As it stands, it's rather bleak... but beautiful, nonetheless!

Oh, I really like the chain of events that you created here!

wow. very well written and nearly-romantic, but not quite, the perfect definition of an in character kaixjou (when they're still in denial, at least.) EDIT THE LAST LINE. it should be "He only knows that he does." but you ommited the S on the knows, so its sort of a mood killer.

but the detail is amazing, and the charisma too. i especially love how you add in the second to last line that ties in jou's-not-reading of the books and wishing that they'd explain it all.

i liked it.

Ohoo, angsty goodness! This was great, I love how Jounouchi can't exactly identify his feelings, although he understands them as frustration at being ignored, prentending what he and Kaiba have-whatever it is-is nonexistant. So good.

Really good story. You describe the dilemma he has in a believeable way, never straying from his character. Him doubting that everyone believes it is also a big plus. Sure, Jou may be "behind" at times, but with such a delicate matter it's hard to not think like that. I just wanted to say that you grasped the idea of "secret lovers" in a realistic way (eventhough the two would never happen *sniff*)
