I'd just kill to see Leo's expression - reaction - should he see Wyatt's actions with his own eyes. Against Chris, especially! (Grins) How can I not plead shamelessly for something like that, after reading this outstanding example of a distant & disbelieving Leo who managed to walk that perfect line between horrifyingly accurate and TOO horrifyingly OTT. Fingers crossed..

MargotTenn 2007-03-27 ch 1,	abuseI cannot believe I haven't reviewed this yet - I think it's one of the best Charmed fics out there. You do such a wonderful job with Chris - you realistically portray him as young and not fully come into himself yet while also showing how he becomes the adult who will travel into the past. I was impressed with him even while I was feeling so sorry for him. Which brings me to how incredibly sad this is. The little side mentions/reveals of how over-burdened Paige is (while knowing it is only going to get worse), the image of Wyatt glaring across the dinner table at Chris, the unhappiness of the younger family members - it's so poignent. And the "big" stuff too of course. You really do a great job of showing how completely Leo has been bulldozed by grief and how he is able to avoid learning the truth even when it is screamed in his face - how he can fail at being a parent while thinking he is being a good parent. For all that my sympathies are primarily with Chris, I still felt some sympathy for Leo inasmuch as he was being asked to do something he SHOULD have been able to do but was too weak to do. And the climax when it all falls apart - there are some actions which you can't take back and hitting your son with a lightening bolt is probably one of them. I loved the line about Chris following Piper's philosophy about magic - it again underlined how bad Leo and Chris' relationship actually is. But again, even though it was all really Leo's fault, I still felt sorry for him that he totally irrevocably ruined his relationship with his son. And I love Chris' response - he's so strong really, facing up to reality in a way that no one else in his family seems able to do. Fantastic. I too would like to see a later/companion scene after Leo has to accept that Wyatt's lost - though maybe we don't need to. You write the characters so well, I can almost imagine the scene on my own. Brava!

I don't even thing I have a strong enough adjective to describe how much I was sucked into that story! It was just so... intense! Yeah! That's the word! It was as heart pumping as the second last episode of Prison Break and that's pretty damn intense! LOVED it! Beautiful!
jessiepotter11390 2006-05-29 ch 1,	abuseThis is a very good fic! Poor Leo, he thinks he's doing the right thing but he's not. Even though Leo isn't a villian or anything, anything that someone does for somebody elses own good is probably not the best thing in the world. This fic certainly expresses some of the feelings that Chris has probably felt in the first future. Keep writing!
