My God! That was BRILLIANT! The ending was positively divine. That's how the movie should have ended! You ought to submit this to someone! Hollywood's writers are on strike right now, so we won't be expecting another Hannibal movie for a long while; perhaps another ten years, unless people as talented as you take the initiative. All of your characters are perfect, true to nature; especially Dr. Lecter and his Darling Starling. It follows almost perfect canon to the last movie and corrects the mistake made at the ending so it winds up like the book. Perfect. Thomas Harris would be proud. Oh, and by the way...If you loved your readers you wouldn't stop writing for a damn thing!
