And the Shrieking Shack doesn't even register with Pettigrew except as it could have affected James Potter's chances with Lily (why James didn't brag of the rescue to make himself look bigger I don't know--or perhaps he did, in private, and Lily, the poor deluded girl, thought she was marrying a hero, not a bully).
Excellent story! (It reminds me of _The Dwarf_ by Per Lagkervist, which is also told from a fairly twisted perspective). |
