That's the purpose of voodoo dolls, the reason vampires supposedly don't have a reflection, and is played upon in 'The Portrait of Dorian Gray' (a very cool, if very creepy, book). Some peoples forbade the use of mirrors because you could supposedly trap a person's soul in them.

May Flyer 2006-07-02 ch 14,	abuseFourteen chapters after starting this, I'm left a bit at a loss for words on what to review. I guess that is what I get for coming late to the fandomparty. So much has happened! You have a real talent for moving a story along quickly and suspensfully, which is always a must for the action/adventure genre. I think that the scene which really stands out as my favorite is Yue's aid of Sokka. Yue and Sokka are so gorgeously tragic together. I think Season 2 doesn't play the loss of Sokka's true love up enough. I look forward to more. :)

me-obviously 2006-05-21 ch 14,	abuseYour cliffhangers have gotten meaner if anything. -scowls- I loved the Shing/Yori flashback - very nice insight into their past and their present relationship. -waves Shing/Yori shipper flag- Hotspur, Jakia, and now you... and I never thought I'd ship an OC relationship. The Zuko, Katara interaction was very well done. It makes me happy to see them get alone without the risk of Zutara. And the actions of Aang and Iroh were very IC. But I am sorta skeptical about how Shing got the upperhand so quickly. It is Aang and Iroh, but you did say that they weren't planning on fighting at the risk of killing Yori... I'll reserve judgement for now. Lei's death was shocking; even though she's just a puppet I felt rather sorry for her. Omg, is Yori going to be the sacrifice? Very cool chapter. Update soon, my friend. The suspense is killing me.

Loved your interpretation of Koh's origins...too dead-on NOT to appear in the cartoon somehow. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter. Please say it will be up soon!
