Isn't that the truth. It took almost loosing one of their own to realize how great they are working together and that each and everyone of them is important in their own way. I look at Greg my favorite character, and I think sometimes before he didn't feel like he was a part of any team, especially just working in the lab and not out in the field, but he has helped finish and crack so many cases; I don't think they could have done so much without him. And this story brings so much more insight into what has been happening since the whole Nick being buried, and I look forward to your stories as well as the stories that happen every week on Tv and will watch to see if their candles are ever dying. Great, wonderful job.

Warming study into how Grissom innerself sees all those around him, and the fear he has of losing them is focused on all the trauma Nick has gone through. It will never be 'over' for Nick, and Grissom, at least in this little FF universe has the guts to admit that. Lovely writing.

OMG ... what can I say about such an eloquently written piece? I often try to sum up my life...and amazingly tonight you did it with "one dying candle". I'm sitting here in tears because it's as if finally someone has captured an essence of Nick and in doing so, has showed me something of myself...a candle that needs to be nurtured and strengthened before it goes out...THANK YOU!

You know, I've read all of your stories, really enjoy every one of them. While AUAv and CPwere action/angst stories, GB emotional, at this one you surprised me because you went a step forward in your writting. It was subtle, beautiful, deeply emotional and gave me a conforting feeling about Nick and Grissom characters in this S6.

Wow. Great use of analogy in this fic; the mental imagery brought up by your words is intense. I particularly like the touch of a single candle being able, in time, to restore many more...
