For some reason I can't help but wish that there were a sequel to this...this particular story seems as though there is much left to be said.

I just wanted to say that this was so amazingly done. And way too chilling. I love reading Kabuto stories, and I think you caught him perfectly. :) Very nice job!

One small problem with leaving in such suspense surrounding said prisoner, is that you've already declared in your title who said prisoner is. This makes such a tactic defunct.

However, the way this story is written otherwise is certainly well done. It captures the elements of Kabuto's cruelty... I can't say much for the prisoner's determination, as I do not recall offhand how strong it is. But yeah.
