The opening line made me smile- it struck me as funny and then gave me a bit of start when I realized it wasn't, which I think is the effect you wanted.

This in particular struck me and gave me a chill:

"Our lips nearly touched, and I whispered, “I don’t love you.”"

This story is nimble with the language and very effective.

Anyway, this story was so touching. You explained poor Vlad's feelings very nicely; how he is attracted to this 14 year old kid and feels so guilty because of it, so he tries to persuade himself that he doesn't love the boy. So, nice story. xD I hope to see more from you!
