Powerful writing.Summer just carries so much of her pain, stuffed inside until it can't be contained; and then it surfaces as rage.This is why I never understood why the writers didn't pair Ryan and Summer together,because of this terrible common bond they both shared.

Aww, you deserve more reviews on this. Sorry I missed it when you first posted, but it's really good. Offers great perspective from Summer's point of view, and it's a good exploration of that side of her that's never really been covered by the show. I hope you write more.
